Where can I find an electric range with depth less than 28 inches

Bertha, most stoves are going to be anywhere from 26" deep to 29" deep. Most any stove that I have used or worked on has never been a counter depth stove unless it was a slide in or a drop in stove. When I went to GE's website, I did not many stoves that were less than 28" deep until I got up to $1000 in retail pricing. The only one under that price that was less than 28" was also only 24" in width. Hope this helps!

My electric Samsung oven will not hold a temperature setting, especially on the bake setting. The oven seems to preheat fine and then when you put the food in, obviously the temp will drop because you open...

After finding a cheap one on Craig's and reading the problems I decided to roll the dice and buy this range. It has the exact problem described above. The owner had replaced the control module and temp probe with no luck. I hooked up the range and sure enough it would come up to temperature (let's say 350) then dropped back to below 200 and never recovered. Lots of relay clicking but no heat. I unplugged it, took off the back and sure enough, one of the connections to the bottom burner was burnt and the wire was laying in the bottom of the range. I cut the bad part off of the wire, added a new high temp stainless terminal reconnected and viola', it works fine now. Wonderful range for practically nothing. It took about 20 minutes to repair and cost $2.00 for the new terminal. Piece of cake. Take a look inside before you call someone. These terminals Samsung used are cheap, not crimped properly etc.... hope this helps! I'll change them all out tomorrow.

I removed the range door to clean oven. Now I

NOTE: The door removal pins you inserted must still

be in both sides of the door.

1.
Grasp the door on the sides with your fingers on

the front of the door and your thumbs on the

inside surface.

2.
Rest the hinge hanger so that it is flat (at the

bottom of the hinge hanger on the bottom of the

front frame slot).

3.
Position the door with the hinge hanger slots

almost parallel to the front frame.

4.
Push up and in until the hinge hanger slots

become fastened to the range. Lower the door

and rotate it slightly from the front to the back

until the slots are fully fastened. The hinge

hanger will be close to the bottom of the front

frame slot.

5.
Pull door open about halfway and remove the

door removal pins. Save door removal pins for

future use.

6.
Close the door.

Upon recovery from a power outage, the oven door on a Kenmore model #911455881C engaged the automatic door lock, and it will not release. I have cycled the power off and back on; have tried starting the...

I traced the problem to a faulty motor in the automatic door latch. In an effort to get the range operable again quickly, I removed the latch and got the door open. However since I just removed the latch and did not rotate the cam on the motor, the electronics did not "know" that the door latch was open, and therefore it still would not allow the oven to bake or broil. To remedy this I had to completely disassemble the motor and rotate the cam 180 degrees so the the sensors would recognize an open latch.

I bought a drop in range and there is an open space at the bottom where the range does not come as low as the older one. Is there a piece I can purchase to cover this opening?

The space at the bottom should be built up to support the bottom of the range. It should not support its entire weight on the counter top.

Maytag oven will not light

There is no reset button on range. Do you mean your house breaker is tripped? I would check for bare wires shorting to ground.
Look for evidence of mice, as in droppings. If so they probably chewed on wires.
