Battery replaced a year ago won't charge

I would think the chances are that the new battery is ok. The power adapter should be fine since you operate your laptop from it... It is possible the charging circuit on the motherboard could be damaged.

It would be nice if charging were a simple operation, but a lot of electronics are involved inside the laptop to charge a lithium battery properly. I think the chances are the charging battery circuit in the laptop may be damaged is my guess. Take it in to a shop.

Turns off right after startup chime lens does not retract

This can happen when you use a battery that is almost without charge. Please remove the battery and charge it, before placing it back. Then be careful not to touch the lens, till the camera has a chance to retract it.
After you place the battery the lens should retract.
If the battery is really charged. You should not think it is charged, because you had it on the charger till the light indicated battery full.
There is also a chance you stopped the lens while it was coming out. A sensor detected this. To avoid damage to the lens construction, the camera switched off automatically. Also remove the battery and after a few seconds replace the battery and switch on the camera. Careful you don't touch the lens again.

My battery had been detected to be have problem

If the battery is over TWO years then the chances are that you will need to change them as there is limited chance that the battery can be revived.
If the battery is less than ONE year old then the warranty cover is available and you can get a claim for a NEW one.
Also please check the output of the charger, use a multimeter to check the voltage at the pins and also at the terminals of the laptop.- battery section.

Wait till it will dry, and try put battery in, there is small chance that it will work again.
But when it works again, there is also BIG chance, that after some time, it will stop working forever, because of oxidation of the motherboard.

I can't turn on the camera

Try replacing the battery . There are chances for the battery to have gone dry inspite of not frequent usage.
The main reason for the camera not getting switched is the power limitation or there can also be chances for problem with the lens that prevents any other operation.

2001 boxter s ,can not keep the battery charge

replace or renew ??chances are that if secondhand you have someone elses long does it take to run battery down?? have you disconnected battery and put an amp meter between cable and battery terminal to measure discharge ,does battery still go flat when disconnected .do you have a big amplifier in the boot .chances are you have answered your own with elimination as the one thing that can cause a battery to discharge is a diode in the is a radio /interior light or boot light ,amplifer in boot for the sound ,,now if the battery goes flat disconnected then renw the battery .or drain the acid out then flush it out with a hose ,swill with distilled water then refill with acid ,sounds drastic but it often works as a bit of paste can short a plate across.have a play because thats all a mechanic would do.And as for a dealer chances are that if you changed these parts yourself then they would not be very coperative to say the least .

Wont hold a battery

well you may want to check and see if your alternator is working, which is simple take your car to a local autozone or any major auto parts store and have them run a check on your alternator. chances are that is the problem. if not then they will be able to tell you what the problem is and where and how to fix it. but normally if the battery wont hold a charge while in operation then chances ar eits your battery itself or the alternator. but if you put a charge on the battery and jus let the vehicle set then you may a a draw somewhere in the electrical system. dont freak out though take it and have a free diagnostics check done and chances are they will be able to tell you what the problem is. good luck

Focus error is displayed in my Camera...

Defective mechanism, a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. You need professional service to fix it. Never put in a freshly charged battery in any unit, let the battery cool down for five minutes or more, a freshly charged battery has higher voltage or power than normal battery and you may have a chance to damage your unit. Some people will say its not true cause they are doing it for a long time, they are just lucky I may say. Never take bad chance if theres any.
