Plasric dish has fused to the element

Use strong kitchen shears to cut away as much of the bulk as you can. Without gouging the round element, scrape it with the kitchen shear blade and run a short cycle. When the drying cycle has run for several minutes (you will smell that the element is heating)
open the DW and again use the shears blade edge to scrape the residual plastic from the element. You may need to repeat to get it all removed.

After you have cleaned it up, do some checking during some loads to make sure the heating element is not being turned on continuously during all cycles. You have not provided the the make/model number, so it is hard to get more specific.

Working but is not drying, please need manual or schematic

First check your breaker If you tripped one of the sides your element won't work. the motor would run still but if you are only getting voltage to one side of plug it wouldn't work. Check for continuity on your element. Not the problem? Unplug Dryer.!!! Check your element by ohmning it out.Make sure if it is bad to check for blockage in vventing system on dryer and wall.et .

I believe the heating element has given it up and I need to know if there is an authorized repair center in Amarillo, TX.

Look on the web, chris322. if you don't find a repair center for Breville in your area, try other main brands like saeco, et al. they may laugh & tell you to buy a better machine; at the very least expect to spend a bit to fix it. don't rule out the possibility of a bad knob or loose wire, though. i suggest checking out ebay or craigslist. starbucks barista machines usually go for $200-$250, and if you buy one used face-to-face and it's working, it will most likely continue working for long while. try finding a heating element to replace it, and call around to electrical repair shops to see if they'll put in it for you. good luck to you!

G5 Grill Suggestion

Hi grillkiller,

Without being privvy to the previous conversation, I suspect it was meant that the heating elements are held in-place during normal operation, and due to some problem have become "unseated" - out-of-position and either not-working, or not working right.

If you need replacement parts, I'd recommend going to the Salton, Inc. customer service website.
