Car over heating and radiator fan not running

it must be an electric fan correct. ok to find out if the fan is bad a quick easy test. first with car off and the key in the on position turn the climate control to a/c position one of the fans should start spinning. mark the fan so that you know it is good now turn key off unplug the wire harness from the good fan and plug it into the other fan turn the key on and see if the other fan turns on then you know that both fans are good. then move to all the fuses and make sure they are not blown. there maybe more than one location for the fuses. you then will have to do a little wire chaseing to see if the fan motor relay needs to be replaced or it might even be that the coolant temp sensor is bad also make sure that your thermo stat is not stuck closed. happy hunting hope this helps

I have a 2007 Chrysler 300 2.7 that keeps overheating and backing up into the resivor. I have changed out the thermostat and change out the coolant sensor. I've checked all relays, good. The radiator...

You missed the cheapest and most likely part of all. Change your thermostat. It may be sticking. Incidentally, coolant is suppose to not only back up into your reservoir on occasion, it is suppose to take from it as well. This is normal.

I have a springdale travel trailer with a dometic ac system. When I turn the air on, with the fan in the auto position on the thermostst, the compressor turns on and runs, but the fan does not. The...

Neither.
The fan should run in the 'auto' position.
If it runs (on hi and lo settings) then I doubt if anything is wrong with the fan motor.
I would think your thermostat is bad and needs replacing.

When main switch to heater is turned on, only the flame comes on - no heat or blower. Have tried numerous times to reset by turning main switch off for five minutes, but still does not work. Any...

Does the fan come on when you turn the Fan to ON at the thermostate? If it does then it could be the blower board not turning the low speed blower tap on. Or the Fan & Limit switch not working. If the fan doesn't come on in the on position then the blower motor could be out or the run capacitor.
If the blower comes on it the ON position then you can run the heat with the fan in the ON position till you can get the heat relay looked at.

My saturn over heats only when i have the ac off

Check for a fuse that is blown first. Then look for a cooling fan relay.Check the relay to see if it will turn on the fan,by using a test light.Clip the end on the test light to a good ground, maybe the ground on the battery. While the car is running, pull the fan relay out just a little so you can touch the prongs on the relay with the test light pointed end. When you touch the right prong, the fan will come on.The test light is actually grounding the relay. This is the safe way to activate the relay without damaging the relay circuit. If the relay clicks, and the fan comes on,replace the coolant sensor. If the fan does not come on,and the relay clicks, then run a hot wire to the positive wire on the fan to see if it will work.If you don`t get the fan to run that way,and you are sure the fan is hooked up correctly, then replace the cooling fan.If you cannot get the relay to click, and the fan is good(because you have checked it)replace the relay. If I can help, let me know.

I have 1991 honda accord, heater blower motor does run but very slowly in all speed positions i have removed the blower assbly. and motor seems to turn free. is there a speed control that may be bad ?

If you have removed the blower motor, Connect it to a 12 volt power supply(your battery)with some jumper wires. It should turn fast, be careful when you connect it, have a good grip on it, it will jump just a little. If it dont run fast its junk. The other 2 things
1)The fan switch
2) The resistor that slows the fan at low speeds.

Heating circuit and thermostat design

Hi, You need a thermostat with a remote sensor that should be about the same position as the middle rack in the cabinet. Yes, have the circulating fan run constantly on a separate switch or on a rotary in the second position and the fan/heater in the third position as off, fan on, fan/heater on. I would also wire in an indicator light or two as well as some way to monitor temp/humidity so that you would have a positive indication that things were running, the idea being so that you open the cabinet as little as possible. By the way this works great for fruit with just the fan. Good Luck!
