Doesn't the janome 9000 have a wick in the bobbin?

A wick? Have no idea what a wick would be doing in a bobbin.

How do I oil mysewing machine? It's a janome excel 5024

You don't oil this type of machine. It's not like an old one that needs oiled every two hours of sewing. You can place 1 drop of oil under the bobbin case in the center to the hook. (One drop of oil on the wick in the center of the magnetic ring.

Does my Janome Sewist 521 model require oiling?

One drop of oil under the bobbin case in the center of the hook, on the wick. Your machine doesn't need oiled like a vintage machine. Taking it in for service once a year is plenty.

Which parts on my Harmony 8080 (Janome) sewing machine do I oil.

Do you have a manual? Most Janomes have a sealed oil system meaning you don't ever oil anything besides the little wick under the bobbin case, just one drop now and then.

Does janome sewist 500 sewing machine need oiling? The manual does not say anything about it.

probably has wicks then thatthe mechanic will lubricate during service. the manual will probably say to have it serviced annually and to brush out the bobbin area often. this is important as lint will build up.

My Bernina Bernette 65 manual does not show how to oil it- do I need to?

If there is no oiling mentioned in the maintenance part of your manual then your machine probably has nylon gears and maybe an oiling wick - many of the new machines are built this way to reduce maintenance issues.

However, if you purchased it from a Bernina dealership, I would ask them that question. Your manual probably recommends you take it to an authorised dealer periodically for a service when they would lube the parts that need it.

My Janome local dealer told me to put a drop oil under the bobbin case in my 6500P every couple of months onto the wick or if it sounds a little noisy.

How do i oil my janome mc 9500?

In the instruction book, it does not say that you need to oil your machine, but most dealers suggest oiling once every 8-10 hours of sewing.

You can put one drop of oil on the wick that is located under your bobbin case. If you don't have any get a bottle of sewing machine oil from your dealer or any sewing machine dealer close to you. Remember, you only need the smallest amount of oil.

Please let me know if this was helpful to you by rating my solution.

Have a great day!

Am I to oil the Janome DC3050? If so, where?

Hi Betty:

The only place I am aware that the user can oil their machine is in the bobbin race. Take our your bobbin and look for a tiny white wick usually right in the center. Apply ONLY 1 drop of oil.

Oiling a Jonome 6600

Remove the plate and bobbin case, beneath it will be a small round hole in the center. Inside the hole is a fluffy piece of absorbant material called the wick. DO NOT REMOVE IT! Place one drop of sewing machine oil on the wick. While you have the machine opened up, you should remove all the dust. I use the small brush that comes with the machine. Replace the bobbin case and make sure that it is clean too. Replace the plate. Lastly add a couple of drops of sewing machine oil to a q-tip and use it to apply oil to the needle bar above the needle clamp.

If your machine continues to squeek then bring it to a professional sewing machine repair technician and pay for the service to have it professionally cleaned and tune up. It is not worth damaging you machine over a few dollars well spent.
