I can't change my screen resulation. It is stuck on 640X480 {4 bit} I have gone to different web sites to try and download changes, but I still can't get any of them to do the job.

Sounds like you do not have the correct driver installed for your graphics card/chip.
Since you did not mention, did you try adjusting from display properties panel? If not, right click on desktop, select properties, click settings tab and there you will find resolution slider and color depth. Adjust and apply/ok.
If this didn't work try this...

The first thing you must do is identify what graphics you have. This can be done a bunch of different ways but the easiest would to download install and run Driver Detective.
Now I am not really sure if you have to purchase, if it does prompt ignore as it will tell you what video card/chip you have.
Then you can visit makers website (Google name it gives you) and get on their support/downloads web page. Download and install latest driver.
Another possibility....
If this is a Dell/Gateway/Emachine or some other major brand, the companies website will have what you need. They usually have a service code number or go by a serial number. This will get you exactly where you need to be.

And another...
If all else fails in the above you can add a video card IF you have an available slot inside your machine. This is way more complicated but can be performed rater easily.
This should cure your problem.

Gateway 5310 series Multi videocard output

The MB video, is automatically disabled when you plug in any other card, accordingly, usually it is "Enabled" when it is taken out. You can adjust the Video RAM size sometimes via the BIOS, though. Now to get the drivers, look on the MB, there will be a set of big, Numbers and Letters, usually white, or black, by one of the slots, that is the Motherboard's identity, or get Everest, a free MB identity program, now, using that number Google, that-number + motherboard drivers, That will get you them, download and install. XP SP2, would be better...

View sreen smaller than monitor size

Well a few things can be assumed, I think.
You're monitor is a CRT(not LCD - which has auto-adjust), and possibly you've just finished installing windows on that machine, and maybe your video card drivers are not installed.

For this step-by-step, it will likely require that the correct video card drivers are installed.
Lets move on and assume they are fine:
-Right-Click on your desktop, click Properties.
-a Display Properties window will pop up, click Settings(usually the far top-right tab), near the bottom right of the Settings panel is Advanced.. click on it(Advanced)
-what will pop up is "'something' Monitor and 'something' Properties", and from here you'll go to the Monitor tab.
-the setting to adjust is the Screen Refresh Rate. Select a different number, click Apply... see what it looks like, and try a different number if that's not good enough - rinse, repeat.... at least until you get what you're looking for, or close to...
-Then close out all of it.

Beyond that adjustability, the only thing to be messed with is the monitors' vertical and horizontal sizing adjustments, which are only accessible using the buttons on the screen, and how that works will vary depending on the brand & model.

I hope that works out for you

P.S. Avoid un-checking the 'hide modes that this monitor cannot display' ... going beyond the monitors ability will blank out your screen and then you will hafta adjust the settings back, literally BLIND(not very fun in my experiences).

Need m2n sli

Your SLI drivers as you mentioned were installed when your chipset drivers were installed. (NVIDIA nForce CK804 Chipset Driver).
If you use 1 PCI-E graphics card the bios will need to be adjusted to [Auto].
Using 2 PCI-E graphics cards you must install the EZ selector card correctly. See page 4-20 section 4.4 Adjust; SLI Configuration. Than see section 4.4.6 in your manual
Open the Asus link below if you need drivers for your M2N-E SLI;

This may seem a bit tricky but its not. First time around the bios settings using SLI graphics cards will appears tough but you'll get it.

Installed new video card, system reboots

your current graphics card settings is not set to the correct level to match your system, you can download ATI Catalyst software from this link:

after installing, you may have to restart your computer. when you restart, right click on the desktop and select (ATI catalyst), there you can adjust your graphic card features or you can use the recommended settings the software have adjusted for your graphic card by clicking on restore settings/defaults.

you should not encounter problems once you have installed the ATI software.
