Your hard disk has possibly failed, I would run tests on the hard disk, using another machine or caddie. The software I recommend for testing the hard disk would be "Seagate Seatools", which can be downloaded here:
http://www.seagate.com/gb/en/support/downloads/seatools/

This software should confirm the current state of your hard disk.

    You may be lucky and be able to restore by pressing F8 just before boot up. Otherwise, insert your OS disc and select recover.

    To repair missing or corrupted system file/s, boot up with the Windows installation CD then - Press R to repair when instructed. Press 1 or Enter to repair the C:\Windows folder. Then type chkdsk /r and then press Enter. The repair process will take quite a long time.

    while booting press F2 or DEL to enter BIOS...there u can change boot device priority..there u can chenge the 1st boot device as the hard disk...
