Question about Denon AVR-988 7.1-Channel Multizone Home Theater Receiver
We recently added a new TV. I labeled all the cables when we moved everything, so I am confident that all the wiring is as it should be. We did have TV sound coming through the Denon, and then we pushed some button and now can't get sound to come through Denon. We had not been able to get FM radio to play at all. Any suggestions about where to start? Thanks
Make sure the TV audio setting is set to send sound through to the Denon not just out of the TV speakers, you wont be able to do both

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

ok i have the same reciver do you use hdmi to go to your tv or componet what ever you use there will be an audio out for rca on the cable box if you dont use a cable box keep reading but use hdmi to tcv then the rca audio out to the denon avr 900 obviously out it in the vdp/tv unput. and if you dont use a cable box your tv shoiuld have an audio output in the back of it for rca connect rca to audio output then other end to the denon avr 900s vdp/tv input

It may may the the AT+T box is really not compatible with the AVR or the Pioneer.
Check the specs on those input/outputs for the Ubox and the receiver.
See if they agree. If so, try another hookup method like HDMI ( which carries the audio too)

SOURCE: Hello! I have a Denon AVR3300 receiver with ATT Uverse signal coming through my Phillips Plasma tv HDMI1 jack. I recently added Apple TV via HDMI2 jack with sound via the Denon's Optical jack 2.
I would recommend using only HDMI. That's what the cable was made for!
