Where is the spring to my clutch pedal located on my 2000 kia sephia

If we're talking about the same spring, its located inside the transmission. The cable is usually adjustable or sometime stretch. I don't know the problem.

Hi. I have a 98 ST2 and just replaced the standard clutch springs with aftermarket. Tensioned them to 5 lb ft and the clutch won't go into gear. Just spins as if it still in neutral.

Is the clutch working correctly are the plates compressed. Without operating the clutch lever the clutch should be fully lock the center hub to the outside cage. Does the clutch front plate move when you squeeze the lever? If not I would suggest the springs are: - a) too long, b) not correct for your model or c) have too much tension in them and so holding the clutch open. I know they cost more but I would get OEM springs.
Hope this helps

Cycle clutch spring broke on selectric typewriter

I am a former IBM customer engineer. I have replaced thousands of cycle clutch springs in the 80's. IBM was known for supporting the typewriters by manufacturing parts twice to three times as long as other companies. Call their parts department. I purchased third party parts from AMES and Tech Support. Both companies were located in Atlanta Georgia. Those two companies also sold the tools that are needed to replace the part. Then you need a tech. Cycle clutches are not easy to replace.

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

Here are the 3 safety switches.
Clutch Brake
and PTO Clutch

More ofthen than not the PTO Clutch gets a gap greater than 0.020 between the clutch and the clutch plate and the safety switch is not made. There are 3 bolts with springs and 3 slots in the PTO clutch. Adjust the tension on the springs until the gap is 0.020. Then try a start.

If it does not work:
Check out this diagram.. it is for your mower:

I found your particular model here:

Parts can be located by choosing the diagrams under the small schematic. I think if you adjust the clutch you will be fine. The seat has to be occupied / switch shorted and the clutch brake pedal made to get power to the solenoid.

Respond ehre is you need more help.... Better yet let me know if the PTO clutch adjustment corrected the problem.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Im a person that know just about nothing about cars, but i need to know where the clutch is in my kia rio ls 2005 model. im not 100% sure whats wrong with it but when i accelerate the clutch seems to...

Your clutch is located inside the semi rounded housing that is sandwiched between the back of the engine and the transmission. It's a big job to get to it and best left to someone with experience. As for the throttle, make sure there is a return spring on the linkage on the throttle body where the throttle cable attaches to it. It may have broken or fallen off. (find that by having someone work the gas pedal and look at what moves on the engine when you do that.)

Clutch is slipping is there an adjustment? 1997 royal star

Yamaha has a curved washer style clutch spring that it uses for this model. These have been prone to slipping from day 1. Normally when you get on the throttle hot and heavy. A new spring will help the situation for a while but you may have to replace the clutch pack to get more pressure through out the clutch pack if the bike has high miles on it. Maybe the dealer would know if the VMAX spring is heavier and would work as a replacement.
