Question about ASUS Computers & Internet
Try removing your battery and main adapter, hold power button down for 10-15 seconds (nothing should happen). Then plug in your mains adapter ONLY and press the power button. If the laptop powers up ok, re-insert the battery, the laptop should be fine for the foreseeable future.
If not I would then try re-seating your RAM/Memory, if that doesn't work and you have more than one stick remove one at a time to see if either one is causing the problem. If you have only one stick find a replacement to test your laptop with.
If you are still finding the same issues with the laptop I would then proceed to reseat all components of the laptop, including the CPU.
If the issues continue I would then remove all non-essential components one by one, each time attempting to power the laptop. At worst you will eventually end up with just the mainboard, CPU, RAM and an external monitor plugged into the mainboard, that still doesn't function correctly. I would then conclude your mainboard needs replacing.
