Question about Toshiba Satellite Computers & Internet
PC seems to be working fine and will run an external monitor. The internal screen has a picture..mouse pointer and does what it should except no backlite. Replaced the inverter with a new one but no luck. Also; what is the voltage out of the inverter to run the backlite?
It is difficult to measure the voltage as it takes a very high voltage to get the light to strike and runs about 90 - 100volts to sustain it. Is the lamp OK?

I have a problem with my hp laptop monitor's hinges, could you link where you were able to purchase those hinges?
Also, make sure you monitor's ribbon cable isn't missing any wires or that all of those wires are fully contacting.

Sounds like the screen itself is bad or possibly the plug is bad to the inverter or motherboard. The videocard sounds like its ok.

Testimonial: "I tighten up the inverter connector and the screen worked, but for a little while. This helped me in the process of elimination"
