Question about Microsoft Video Game Consoles & Games

Gigaware USB headset, can it be used for the Xbox 360? My friend can't get his to work.

My friend has a 2nd hand Gigaware USB headset (no packaging), and can't seem to get it to work with his Xbox 360. Is there a trick to it he's missing, or does he just need to buy a new headset that's made for the X360?

SOURCE: New Xbox 360 disk drive doesn't play games

well my friend thats because each xbox 360 drive is unique for each console so it only works on the original console, to solve this you have to flash the firmware from the old drive and put it the new one, there are many sites explaining it just google it.

Datel game talk xbox 360 wireless headset shuts off.

I have the same exact problem , BUT I did a little trick and it worked somehow, the problem that I had is that : when you turned the headset off by pressing the power button. It won't really go off, you can still hear the sounds from your Xbox, even that the Xbox show you that its disconnected , there will be no logo for the headset when you press the Xbox button on the controller.
Here is what I did to really turn it off.
First you should adjust the "Master Volume " wheel to the end. I mean move it like you are decreasing the volume to the least. so there will be No SOUND. after that hold the power button, and it will really turn off this time , for real.
Hope it worked for you :)

I cannot get My xbox 360 wireless mic to work with the american idol karaoke game as well as the headset. Does this game work with wireless accessories?

The answer is a big fat no. I have this game and you have to buy the usb karoke mic in order for it to work. Sorry it won't work with wired or wireless headset for controller, only the special usb karaoke mic built for those games. Check for one in your a friendly game stop or walmart. Good luck!! Happy singing!! :)

you simply need to buy a new headset, those things are so cheap.

I would suggest a Turtle Beach x31; visit www.bestbuy.com for a retailer.

I can't hear my friends but they can hear me on my xbox headset

The default Microsoft Xbox 360 headsets are very faulty.

You will probably be stuck buying a new one, or may I even such a higher-class headset such as the Turtle Beach.

www.bestbuy.com is an example retailer of such product.

Here's my best idea. Join a party on Xbox LIVE with a friend. This will let you communicate outside of Halo 3. If they can't hear you when you're in the party together, then it's your headset.

To have a friend join a party, go to your friends menu and select a friend. It will then give you the option to invite them into your party. Good luck!

Guitar hero WT mic not discoverable

i cant think as to why the mic wont work, but the other way of singing on GH is if you use your headset through your controller pad. this makes for easier gaming as you wont need your hands except for game setup.
