Question about LeapFrog LeapPad Ultra Learning Tablet - Green
My granddaughter's Leapfrog LeapPad will not charge. When it's plugged in to charge, it shows a green light to show fully charged but when she turns it on it shows that the battery needs to be charged.

SOURCE: Battery wont hold a charge
If the battery is not holding charge try draining the battery until it cuts out, after that put it on charge but don't turn the machine on while it finishes charging, this may well charge the battery to 100% as it is supposed to
Good luck and kind regards

sorry to dishearten you
Here i can analyse that you purchased an old one , it's simple the cartridges have become faulty till this time an this do happen with them as they become old.
perhaps you may complain it to that person and get it compensated because this would probably be the reason he sold it to you
