It probably needs servicing. Strip gun & clean it may have water inside from compressor and/or may have too much oil inside (may have no oil at all and be seizing up). Clean & check O rings. ( I replace O rings during a service). When rebuilding apply a little Teflon grease to the O rings and smear a little inside the sleeve, do not add oil at this time. Connect to airline and check for correct operation. If all OK add a couple of drops of oil down air intake before starting work as normal.

Miss fires and wont sink nails depth set deep and pressure over 120 psi

If no air is leaking from gun, miss-fire is usually caused by worn or too tight piston oring or lack of lubrication. Easy test. Disconnect airline, remove nails, point nose of gun up then down. Driver should stay in uppermost position. If driver moves up then down within gun replace piston oring and retest. Set pressure to about 100psi. Good luck with repair.

FR350 won't shoot nails

Normally I would say you aren't using enough air pressure because somewhere around 80psi (every tool is different) will not be enough to fully retract the driver. At 110 you are fine so that is not the case. I doubt it is broken because a broken driver will still retract unless it broke near the piston. My guess is it needs the o-rings replaced but you can pull the top head and pull the driver out first to make sure. Parts and breakdowns can be found here as DeWalt owns Porter Cable.

I have an F60FN Stanley Finish Nail Gun.

did you lubricate the o-rings before reassembly with a dab of grease? also does the tool fire at all, could be a problem with the firing valve. Let me know what you find and I will keep trying to help

Leaking air out yhe head of the gun won't shoot a nail

The o ring inside the top of the gun is worn. This is a part you can order through an authorized dealer, OR you can take that o ring with you to your favorite big box store and find a 5pack of the same size for about 1/4 of the price! Just unscrew the screws on top of the gun and the top will come off exposing that o ring- it may be in pieces. if there isn't enough of it left to take with you, you can take a measurement.

Gun has no air leaks, when you shoot it it sounds like it is nailing but no nail comes out. It is a framing gun,4 yrs. old or so.

hello hunt..... oil it and also check to be sure that the nails you are using are the correct ones for that gun, and that the air pressure is set high enough.

Finally disconnect it from the air supply and manually raise and lower the "hammer" to properly lube it. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

I have air leaking out the nose of my nailer. When I removed the nose the upper chamber holds air pressure. After I put the nose back on it will hold air pressure, but after I shoot a nail it will start...

sounds like the packing is shot. you need to oil it 2 times a day if its a constant use tool, drain your compressor everyday if its below temps do it twice a day. before removing the packing try putting lots of oil 10 drops into the nailer it might just be **** caught in it but **** can ruin the packing.

Leaks air around the trigger. Doesn't shoot the nails at 100psi, I think it is a F28WW Bostitch shoots the 2'' and 31/2'' nails

sounds like the trigger valve has a broken o ring and would need replaced. you can go to and order one for it, they are not that hard to install.
