Hi Enslow, I can only guess that if the well hasn't been in use for some time then it's possible that if you run the pump and get brown water it may clear in time. My suggestion is simply continue to run the pump few a decent period of time that maybe a few days . As you do this take samples in say clear glass containers and see if there is improvement. So take samples every couple of hours and it will be apparent if the water is clearing or not. Make sure the pump is a decent distance from the bottom of the well.
Hope that helps
Regards
Steve

Brown bugs on tomatoe plant--what can i do?

IF you don't want to use a commercial insecticide, you can drown them with mildly soapy water that you can spray on the plants. You can also use a cedar based oil spray like they offer on cedarcide dot com.

Tips on Is Shelf Life for Makeup

Every woman we know has a pile of makeup in her drawer that she "sometimes" uses. Translation: Never uses, but keeps just in case she finally learns how to properly apply blue eyeshadow.

Beauty products do have a shelf life, however, and chances are that blue eyeshadow with the glimmery bits that you bought a couple years ago (for Halloween?) has long expired. Here's a quick guide on the shelf lives of typical beauty products. We've listed them in alphabetical order. Oh, and just one quick little "PS": Please keep in mind that these are estimates, no matter what anyone tells you, it's unlikely you'll go blind from using 2-year-old mascara.
•Concealer Up to 12 months.

•Powder 2 years.

•Cream & gel cleansers 1 year.

•Pencil eye liner Should be sharpened regularly. Will last up to 3 years.

•Eyeshadow Will also last up to 3 years. Extra tip: A dark eyeshadow can double as eyeliner, in fact, most makeup artists swear by eyeshadow used as eyeliner. You'll need a super-flat eyeliner brush for this (MAC, Sephora and Aveda have great brushes). Get the brush a little damp and dab in dark eyeshadow (black, brown or deep jewel-tones work great). Wiggle the brush into your lash line focusing on the space between your lashes, then sweep the color just above your lash line.

•Brushes Wash every 2-3 months in a mild detergent.

•Sponges Wash weekly and discard monthly.

•Foundation Check the ingredients: A water-based foundation will last up to 12 months, oil-based will last up to 18 months. You may find you need two different shades of foundation each year: One for summer when your skin is naturally darker and one for winter when you're lighter. Extra tip: If your water-based foundation dries out before it's expiration date, simply add a few drops of alcohol-free. toner

Is a small amount of brown moisture coming out of A/C w/cold air & slightly squeaking fan upon yearly startup on kenmore model 253.70101 acceptable : should i run it longer than 1 minute.

Brown is rust.
Painted metal outside for 2 yrs eventually rusts (ergo: brown drips) The fan is exposed to heat/cold/wet and the sintered bronze bushings may have lost their lubrication and/or the shaft is corroded, causing squeaks. Take the case off and try to lube the shaft bearings with oil, not WD40.

Twice in the last year, the floater of my toilet jammed causing the water to run all night long. After running for 12 hours the water kept running but turned brown and muddy. After a day or so, all returns...

the valve that controls water flow is sticking. replace the interior water stand pipe valve with a new one you got dirt in the valve and it is not clsoeing. It would be a good ideal to put a filter on the output side of the pump. Aslo the wll level is most likely low due to lack of rain causeing the brown water. If you need more help post and let me know. the Vlave assembly costs $15.00 for a good replacement. also check that the flush handle is notr cathcing on anything and the flapper valve does not have a hole or rust arounf the ring.

Bike runs until the battery dies

Rectifier and/or stator, could be the problem. Check the amperage out put with an amp meter at idle and at 3000 RPM to determine. Troubleshoot all electrical terminals, disconnect, clean, and apply a small amount of Di Electric grease to contacts.
Corrosion causes a lot of problems and is common on bikes after a few years. The main ground wire from the battery to where it connects to the frame is important also. I have found this heavily corroded on a lot of bikes over 10 years old.
Good luck, hope this helps.
