First off, when install a washer it is best to use an inline filter, or a water filter in your home. There should never be debris in the water as it could be health hazard. Nevertheless, the only way to clean the pump out is to remove it from the washer and open it up. It has special pump seals than need to be replaced as the original seals dry out and cannot be reused or they will leak water. In many cases, it is better to get an After Market replacement pump tested and ready to go. Other than that, if you cannot do it yourself, have a technician do it for you.

Hi I have a 7.5l whirlpool front loader and the clean pump light has come on, I have cleaned the filter at the front base of the machine and its still coming up? Is there another pump? What can I do?

There may be dirt stuck in the pump itself causing the pump to jam up. You will have to tip the machine back , locate the pump, remove it and clear any debris in the pump chamber. Make sure the machine is unplugged and be prepared for water to come out when the pump is removed.

My simpson esprit 450 washes dirt/sand into the tub - how can I clean the

Hi just read your posting. The only way you can assess the tank is to remove the inner bowl. This is quite difficult.I can help you with removing the inner bowl but I think the easiest way is to fill the machine on a High water level and when it stops filling and starts to agitate pause the machine and advance the cycle to spin and let the pump drain out the sandy water.Give this a try the reply back on how you got on.

Hi, my washing machine is LENCO LWM-2651BJ my problem on my machine is when he reach to drain it go off and he cant drain the water, i bought this machine in israel and i send it to philippines and i dont...

Possible that the drain valve/pump is faulty. Now this can be failure of the pump/valve or the pump is clogged with dirt and so does not work. You need to first check the voltages on the drain pump at the time of drain, if not present the program controller is faulty but if present the valve/pump is faulty. remove from the drain outlet hose fittings , remove the pump and clean or back-flush with jet water, test outside for the pump to work freely , if not the pump is faulty and must be replaced.

Water won't drain from the tub, think the hose may be clogged. Is there any way to clean the hose without completely dismantling the machine? It does spin but the water won't completely drain out. We...

Hi,

Remove any kinks in the drain hose. Ensure that the washer is not sitting on the hose.

Inspect the household drain. Remove clogs, if possible. Call a plumber if you cannot remove the clogs.

Check the drain and make sure there is an air gap between the hose and drain. An air gap is necessary to prevent the drain hose from siphoning water.

Clean the pump filter. Open the pump access door. Turn the pump filter counter-clockwise and remove it. Remove dirt and debris. Replace the filter and close the pump access door.

Rearrange the clothing in the load. An unbalanced load can prevent the washer from spinning or draining.

Allow the washer to cool down for two hours. If the washer overheats, it will stop the motor and cool down before restarting.

Close the door completely. The washer will not operate if the door is not securely closed.

I hope the above helps.

Good luck.

I think my son used my vaccuum on his wet Jeep carpets. Now it stinks and is spitting stuff out instead of picking stuff up. Will it ever work again or did he destroy it?

I think the pump is clogged and the vacuum inlet filter has also been clogged up with excess intake of dirt.
You will need to remove both the sectiosn fully to clean out without using the vacuum cleane as it will further damage the unit.
All these machines have a limitation to the dirt and cannot be expected to go on with high level of dirt. So the maintenance must be carried over for the dirt accumulation fo the machine to be back to work efficiently.

Wouldn't go through final spin - took pump off and cleaned it. Will now get to spin, but stops, clicks, starts, stops, clicks.....

Did you find dirt in the pump? Did you wash something really dirty, like a horse blanket? There may be dirt in the bottom of the tub barrel that you can't see from inside the machine. You may need to see if something keeps clogging the pump, if so, remove pump, connect a hose to the drum hose and run water through the drum to remove heavy dirt (by gravity) without going through the pump.

You'll need to pull the hoses off the pump and inspect the inlet strainer and pump impeller for debris.

No spin cycle

It was the water pump. It had become blocked with dirt and ****.Remove water pump, (it takes awhile) and clean the dirt etc inside the pump and refit. It's been working great ever since, 4 months now. I had a go at it myself as it was Christmas time and the part wasn't available and the cost of the new pump was about $160.

How to clean inlet filters?

I don't think inlet filters are going to solve your problem. Does the machine fill normally? If not, this was probably caused by mineral deposits and not the dirty rugs. It may just be a coincidence that a fill problem occurred at the same time. The inlet screens are located in the fill valves. You would have to shut the water supply off and disconnect the hoses to see them. There is a small screen inside each water inlet on the back of the washer. Washing heavily soiled items would not have anything to do with clogging the inlet lines. Now...if you overdid it with some heavy duty items like rugs, it would be reasonable to suspect that you may have clogged the pumps. I believe there are two pumps on the Oasis. One is a drain pump, and I think the other one is a recirc pump. You shouldn't have to open the top of the machine to get to them. The pumps can both be accessed by tilting the machine back and looking UNDER the washer. As you are looking from the front of the washer, the drain pump will be in the right rear of the machine and the recirc pump will be in the left rear. If you wish to check them, follow these steps: 1. Unplug washer. 2. Drain as much water as you can through the drain hose by using a shop vac. If the drain pump is clogged, this may not be possible. Or, it may take a little extra time. Otherwise, you may have a mess of water when you disconnect the hoses. 3. Disconnect hoses from pump(s) and look for any obstructions. You will have to tilt the machine backwards to accomplish this. You also will need to pull the machine away from the wall far enough so it will rest against the wall when you lean it back. Or, get the assistance of another person to help hold the machine back. 4. Carefully, disconnect wire harness from pump and remove mounting bolts. Remove each pump and look inside the impeller section. This is where dirt, sand and foreign objects generally get lodged. 5. Reinstall following the reverse order of the steps described. Now...if you go through all these measures and don't find anything, there is a filter in the wash tub under the inner basket. Cleaning this would require the removal of the nunator (agitator), tub ring and inner basket to get to. I can explain the steps to you if you like, but I don't know if this is something you would want to try to attempt. Cleaning the pumps and hoses is one ting, but removing the wash basket and other components can be a bit involved. Check the pumps first and let me know if you need further assistance. I hope this helps you.
