Question about Car Audio & Video
Hi ive just bought a bmw x5 and the radio sound comes out of the left front speaker and the rear right speaker the radio dose nothing just has a mode screen that dose nothing i can disconnect the to leads to the radio and it still works i can only use the steeling will adjusters for volume, i think there's something missing in the back side panel as there's a silver Bluetooth box cd changer, but there's leads doing nothing anyone got any ideals thanks Adi
Someone may have put a custom radio in it and then put the PEM one back when it was sold. You should go to a dealer and see if they will copy the diagram for the wiring for you.

it is highly likely that you're TV is outputting mono sound, hence the left channel only. check your physical connections to the TV and the balance / channel volume on the television as well.

I ran into the same issue with an AVR 7000 after it had been shipped to me. I took the cover of and found that the left and right amplifiers have a separate power plug into them. when I plugged to "bad" side back in everything worked great.

Smaller gauge orange wire is a dimmer wire. If the radio you are installing does not have a dimmer wire, just tape it up.
Hope this helps.

In most cases the "pink" could either be for an automatic antenna OR remote control unit / The red wire in most cases is to keep the "memory" active on the unit (preset radio stations/clock)....
