Question about Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 Video Card Graphic
First it would run for around 5 minutes after boot up, then flicker and go black. Now it doesn't come up at all. Monitor checks out good.
Most likely your card failed. Since you have checked out the monitor and it is good, there isn't any alternative. Another way to check, is IF your motherboard has integrated video on the board, remove the card and switch to onboard video; if you get video on the monitor that pretty well finalizes the verdict. You can also make sure that if you have a cooling fan on the card it is still working, the card may be overheating. But if nothing works now that probably is not the problem.
