Acer Aspire 7560 wont restart

Before shutting down your system click on any programs still running and shut them down. This will cut the time for normal shut down to take place.

You could also run a hard drive diagnostic to see if it has any errors. There might be some if you don't let the computer shut down itself. Restarting can also cause the programs to become corrupt, if they didn't shut down right. Running a defrag on the drive will also help it shut down quicker.
Look on the net also for information on getting your PC to shut down quicker.

My Toshiba laptop is stuck in logging off mode. How can I fix this?

if you have a program running that is non responsive and try to shut down or restart, the computer will get stuck on the logging off screen. Often times if a computer takes a long time to do anything, it means you need to defrag your hard drive. Manually shut down the computer (you might have been pushing the Sleep button. If you can't figure it out, just unplug it and let the battery run down.) and when you restart it, go to the My Computer or Computer option, right click on your C drive, click on properties and a window should pop up. Click on the tab that says Tools and click on the Defragmentation option. The rest should be pretty self-explanatory. If nothing works. please try logging in as administrator in safe mode and doing a system restore.... please see Using Windows Vista System Restore :: the How-To Geek

I did a system restore and it says that it was unsussessful and shuts down. I restart the computer and it says unsussessful and shuts down. How do I fix my computer?

There should have been a recovery CD that came with your E-Machine. Put that in and restart the computer. If you've already done that, then you might not have the CD drive set as a first boot priority. restart the computer and look to see what button it says to push to enter "Setup." If you can't find it, try the "Del" button. restart and right away start hitting "Del" over and over until it says it's entering setup or it actually enters setup. find where it says boot. you'll have to use the arrows, the mouse won't work. go to boot and look for "Priority" hit enter and you'll see some options for 1st, 2nd, 3rd boot device. make the first one the CDROM and the second the HDD or hard drive. Then hit F10 to save and exit it'll restart and should restore then.

Try selecting safe mode.
If it starts, u will get a pop up asking whether u want to start system restore.
Start system restore and restore the computer to a previous date when it was working properly.
If that does not work, u will have to do a complete re-installation of the Operating System.

Use Dell PC Restore by Symantec only as the last method to restore your operating system. PC Restore restores your hard drive to the operating state it was in when you purchased the computer. Any programs or files added since you received your computer—including data files—are permanently deleted from the hard drive. Data files include documents, spreadsheets, e-mail messages, digital photos, music files, and so on. If possible, back up all data before using PC Restore.
Note: Using PC Restore permanently deletes all data on the hard drive and removes any applications or drivers installed after you received your computer. If possible, back up the data before using PC Restore.
To use PC Restore: 1 Turn on the computer and watch the keyboard status lights.
2 Immediately upon seeing the lights flash, press <Ctrl><F11>.
If you do not press <Ctrl><F11> in time, let the computer finish restarting, and then restart the computer again.
Note: If you do not want to proceed with PC Restore, click Reboot in the following step.
3 On the next screen that appears, click Restore.
4 On the next screen, click Confirm.
The restore process takes approximately 6–10 minutes to complete.
5 When prompted, click Finish to reboot the computer.
NOTE: Do not manually shut down the computer. Click Finish and let the computer completely reboot.
6 When prompted, click Yes.
The computer restarts. Because the computer is restored to its original operating state, the screens that appear, such as the End User License Agreement, are the same ones that appeared the first time the computer was turned on.
7 Click Next.
The System Restore screen appears and the computer restarts.
8 After the computer restarts, click OK.
Cheers!

My drag to disc says "no recorder"

What has changed since it worked? That is the first step. Try a system restore to that point. NOT a full restore. If that doesnt work uninstall drivers and dwnld new ones from Roxio.
