Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
Well if u registered it with hp, they will have your information on file and you may be able to have it tracked through hp if anyone ever calls in for parts to it, or if it is ever reactivated by a os reinstall. they will usually ask for the person's information and if it is reported stolen through hp they will most likely let the authorites know with the information, but u have to report it to hp so they can go through the steps in making it a hot list laptop to be tracked. i know this sort of info was used by dell in the same fashion.
