I have a submersible deep well pump and lately if I run the water for 15 minutes straight it shuts off why.

Grundfos pumps are thermally protected by a bi-metal strip temperature switch. Your pump is overheating. Typical cause of this is operating to near the shutoff head pressure. Try reducing the discharge pressure by increasing the flow rate.

its sucking dry or your wiring is not right, or of course an airleak, or the prime is not good, did you fill the pump prime hole at the 3/4 plug on bottom.of pump, deep well pump do you mean submersible? if so and it is a deep well submersible there is a prime, its got to be an airleak in the line or the pressure tank is not pressured up to the specs, and the gauge

My water supply pump to house works but does not pump water from tank to house

What type of pump is it? Is it a shallow well pump or submersible
pump? Is the pump connected to a pressure tank? How have you confirmed that the pump is working properly? Is there a drain valve, and is there water pressure from the drain valve when it is opened? If the pressure tank is of the pre-charged type, is it working properly? Is there water coming out of the air valve? Are there any shut-off valves in the system which may have been turned off, preventing water flow?

Hubby installed new pump and it shortcycled for awhile then, no psi... not even sure about the condition of the pressure tank ... when water does come it works for a short time and then trickles and stops...

Did he install a self-priming pump, sometimes the will not prime or this one is stopped up from dirt. also is it submersed in the water or above water level. if it is submersed and is not meant to be, it's probably toast and you need to replace it with a submersible type pump that is also self priming. To find the schematic for your system go to your manufacturer, I'm now assuming that this is a recreation type situation, trailer, motorhome. There at the dealer the parta department should be able to help you. Hope I helped.

I have a flotec shallow well pump i can not get it to pump the water it stays at 20 pounds did i hook it up wromg

check your pressure tank. It sounds like it is water logged. This means there is no air pressure in it. If you're cut in pressure is set at 30 pounds you must have 30 psi of air pressure in the pressure tank.

No water from well.

If the water pressure reads 50 psi, then, the submersible pump is running okey. Do these:
1. Shut the power off.
2. Release the pressure of the tank by opening the
gate valve and free the air inside.
3.Drain the water inside your pressure tank empty by
opening the drain plug at the bottom.
4. Then, replace the drain plug .
5. Check the flow control valve. From full close
position, adjust to 1/4 open position. However, if it
is using a gate valve as flow control, Just open two
full turn counter clockwise.
6. Put the power on.
7. And start the submersible pump and allow it to
run until the pressure tank is pressurized.
8. At 20 psi pressure, open your faucet, and see if
you've got water.

I would like to know the result, so just send in your e-mail . Thanks and God bless you.

Our submersible well pump is surging, comes on and off about four times until the pressure has built up causing the pipes to make noise what can we do to fix it?

this is extremely hard on the pump. i would say off hand that your pressure sw is bad or in need of adjustment. also make sure that your pressure tank is not water logged. you do this by cutting the power to the pump and draining the system. when no water comes out of the hose there should be no water in the tank. if there is if its a captive air "bladder style" you need to replace. if its a standard either your snifter vavlve is bad or your level valve in the tank is bad. good luck ive run off wells for years and know what a trying experiance this can be

I have a jacuzzi 1/2 hp submersible well pump. Does this need any regular maintainance to keep it happy.

No preventative maintenance is necessary. However, a happy pump always has water above it and should not pump sand. If the water level in the well is below the pump/motor they will overheat. If this is a problem your local pump company can install a module to protect your pump from this type of event.

No water on submersible pump

I assume this is a new instalation or you just removed and reinstalled to pump. As you have power on the load side and we assume your wiring to the pump is correst, you need to open a valve on the output side of the pum and bleed the pump. They will become air bound, Leave the valve open until it flow freeley. That should do it

Good Luck
