How to change time and date on my pc

are running a Windows computer you should place the mouse pointer over the date/time, usually at the bottom right corner of your screen. Right mouse click on the date/time and scroll down to "adjust date/time" and left mouse click on that. A window will appear allowing you to reset the date/time. You can also change the time zone to your particular time zone. Some O/S will allow you to select internet time, which automatically keeps the correct time.

HI, I AM SANDIP FROM CENTRAL ACCOUNTS OF DURGAPUR STEEL PLANT A UNIT OF SAIL having IBM Thinkpad type 2682 ,Product Key GXR3W-GHM34-7RFFM-BVCQJ-WGF4G. PROBLEM- WHEN I AM SWITCHING ON THE POWER A ...

As soon as anything appears on screen after power-on, press F1 (keep clicking it until the BIOS setup screen appears). The first option on the list is Date + Time, click on that, and enter correct date/time. Then press F10 to accept + reboot. If this error happens again, it means that the CMOS battery (which keeps your settings alive) has died; it is cheap + easy to replace, however you have an R40 model, and I avoid working on Rxx series so that job may be harder. I could point you to the R40 service manual, which is very good to dis-assemble that laptop (it is necessary to lift keyboard to get to CMOS battery, which involves removing some screws from the bottom.

My laptop freezes at hp screen with F10 to enter ROM Setup, so I hit F10, and after about 3 minutes a black screen appears with a blue screen saying drivelock multibay password in it. Sometimes it just...

Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after just after you switch On until you get Safe Mode Option.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->Click 'System Restore'

A 'System Restore' window will appear.

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next

Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

After reboot your problem should be resolved.

Just got new laptop, followed the prompts to start up..got screen saying "preparing your system etc, stopped and rebooted then logged on, then the same screen came up and has been going for about 3...

This screen appears when you have successfully gone through the Windows Setup Wizard entering Computer name, User details, Network settings and Seting the Time and Date.

If you get the problem of the screen appearing for the past 3 hours. I suggest you try and use the Laptop Recovery CD as by using this, this will just recover the system back to origional factory default settings and will not cause any problems with your system.

Try this and itshould work.

Set time on Touch Screen Thermo Clock

Hi there,

Just in case you didn't manage to set the time / date on your tocuh screen thermo clock, I'll try to help you from my experience (no available manual at the moment!).

1. To set the time, touch the clock icon on the upper left corner;
2. Keep touching the screen for longer than 5 seconds, on the hour area;
3. Touch the hour area until you get what you want (if you prefer the 24 hour display style, touch repeatedly until you get the right hour without the AM / PM indicator next to it);
4. Touch the clock icon again to start the clock;
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 to set up the minutes (the hour area will be replaced by the minutes area);
6. To set the date, tocuh the calendar icon on the left hand side;
7. Keep touching the screen for longer than 5 seconds, on the year area;
8. Touch the year area until you get what you want;
9. Touch the month area until you get what you want;
10. Touch the day area until you get what you want;
11. The screen will reverse to the time display after 5 seconds if no touch.
12. The TEMP (temperature) area, if touched, is toggling between C and Fahrenheit degrees.

P.S. I don't know if it is possible to set an earlier time / date, except touching. I mean, if 2009 is on the screen and you want 2007, you'll keep touching up to 2030 and then from 1901 up to 2007.

Hope it helped.

Date/time function

Actually, it was easy. My fault. I didn't realize I could keep scrolling through my "set-up" option - from "menu" to the date/time icon. Once I found that, I just had to work my way through it. The only thing is, it's set up as a 24 hour clock, and I would prefer it as a 12 hour AM/PM. Haven't figured out how to change that yet, but it's not serious. At least the date will be correct now.

Times T307S Can't get it to come on

I'm not sure if this will assist all who have this issue, but I noticed this morning when my radio would not come on (after about two hours of pressing every button on the thing), that the Off/Reset button was slightly jammed at the top of the button. I popped it out and my radio came right back on. That may explain why, each time this has happened, it finally comes on after hitting the button several times, it pops the button back out so the radio works again... Hope this helps!
