You haven't supplied a lot of information to work with but a few things you should check.
Spark...., remove the sparkplug and earth it against a metal part of the saw. Get your girlfriend to pull it while you hold the plug and check the spark. If the spark is not bright blue and it's yellow or not there at all then renew the sparkplug. If you replace the sparkplug and there is still no spark then disconnect the earth switch wire at the terminal on the coil. Following that if the spark is still elusive then your coil will be dead.
Assuming spark is okay - check your fuel. Have you got fresh clean 2/stroke fuel? Water can accumulate in a petrol storage container, are you aware of that? make sure it's free of water.
If the fuel s a bit old then dump it and get a fresh mix. (Put the old stuff in your car if you don't want to waste it.)
The final test is compression, with the sparkplug back in the machine, gently pull it over. It should feel quite lumpy in a regular pattern. If not then you may have piston damage and the easiest way to check that is to whip the muffler off and inspect through the exhaust ports. If scoring is visible on the piston face then it's a major strip down and replacement of piston and cylinder.
Hope that helps.

On this cart, I have cleaned out carb twice. Battery good. It runs shortly then dies out. Micro switchesx4 has been replaced. Spark plug good. Gas is good and getting to carb.

Determine if it is running out of fuel or no spark.
If it stalls but will run on carb spray or starting fluid
sprayed in carb opening then the fuel has problems.
If it will not run on the starting fluid then the spark is weak
or failing due to bad wiring or coils. Once you isolate
the problem to fuel or spark then you can probe those areas.
Be sure compression is good also. 100 psi at least.

Suzuki DR200 will not start after cleaning carborator

Try to pull it down the road in a low gear like 1or 2 so it turns over faster then with the starter and see if it hits if not try to choke it as you pull it sometimes the starter won't turn it over fast enough to hit and run it could be getting to much gas or not enough last try to spray it with starting fluid in the carb to see if it hits if so there is something still slowing or stoping the gas flow you might just spray starting fluid first up to you hope it helps

check crank position sensor or immobiliser system as you have not spark at the right time. Immobiliser may be a battery problem in the key unit. Have the codes read

If you can spray carb cleaner in the carb then you have either a fuel supply problem or fuel delivery problem. Check your fuel pressure and make sure it is in spec. Then check the spray in the carb spray.

94 pontiac with 5.7L, wont start. Fuel and fire are there and a new computer, still won't start

These distributors are bad to have problems, where they are located, the pick up coil is the most likely problem, the pick up coil pulses the injectors,I assume this is your problem, spray starting fluid in the intake, and see if it hits,it will not run long,do not move accelerator ,just spray in a vacuum port where the fluid can **** threw to the cylinders,if it hits, then the pick up coil in the distributor is the problem.

Blower will not start

open up the air filter and spray a prime ( carb cleaner or starting fluid in small amounts) into the carb and try to start it. If it hits and tries to run or runs for a short time then its likely a fuel delivery problem. If it wont hit at all then its likely an ignition problem.

Mantis won't start

Check and see if you have a broken fuel line. You might have to take carb off and spray with carb and choke cleaner. If it has a fuel filter maybe replace it.
