What do I need to do to down load pictures from my Nokia 2605 Mirage cell phone to my MAC laptop ? I have the correct USB cable. When I hook up the phone to my Mac (or to the PC at work) the computer is not recognizing that a device has been attached for down loading images. Do I need to install/download special Nokia software ? Thank you. juergen

I'm not familar with the Mirage. If it isn't a PDA or smart phone you need to get software to interface your PC with your phone. Palms, Black berries & other PDA's automatically come with this software.

If your phone charger cord has a usb connector on one end, then use it to transfer your pictures. If not, then get a cable that has the correct end for your phone ans a usb connector on the other end

You need your USB cable, your phone and your PC/laptop.
1. plug your USB cable from your phone to your PC or laptop 2. wait until your PC/laptop detects your device 3. go to my computer, left click your phone's drive 4. go to images folder and left click it. 5. there are many sub folders inside the images folder, always choose the last and the 2nd to the last folder because this is where your pictures are stored. 6. highlight all of your pictures and right click, choose copy 7. select the drive to which you will place your pictures. click paste.
Take both thumbs and place on back cover. Push away from the silver Xpress insert. Lift cover from back of phone. To put it back on, line up tabs and push cover toward the silver Xpress insert till it seats in place.
Yes you'll need a cable driver for your usb cable, or you'll need to download the nokia pc suite, that depends on what kind of cable you have, you can download the driver or pc suite from the nokia web site, www.nokia.com

just get the software from the internet and the usb cable, or if u hav a memory card on usb mode (in phone settings) go on mass storage, and connect ur usb and it shud work if dat dunt work get a memory card adapter and conect it 2 ur laptop and send it 2 it hope this helps.
