Question about Dishwashers
My old dryer won't tumble. It WAS tumbling but just stopped suddenly. It cooled down & tumbled a few more times, so I think the belt is ok. It makes the noise you hear between the drum reversing directions. It just doesn't tumble. In the past 6 months, I've replaced the thermostat & element. I'm on the verge of buying another dryer.....but...Thanks for your help. Suzy
It sounds like it is the belt. When the dryer heats up the belt expands a little and when it gets wore out, the tensioner doesn't have enough spring to keep it tight. It might work a little when it's cold before the belt expands.
This belt should work for your dryer but verify the length.
Here is a helpful Youtube video on how to do the repair.
Here is a link to the Service Manual
The bottom of this link shows some typical ways a belt runs past a tension wheel and links for your dryer. If you replace yours I would recommend taking a couple pictures before removing the old one so you can refer to them when installing the new one.

Testimonial: "Thanks so much for your excellent information. Unfortunately the video, really informative, isn't about my particular model which has the lint trap in the door, etc. Whirlpool AWZ 121 I'll see if I can find a video for that model Thanks again! :-)"
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Sounds like the wheel at the back of drum where belt goes has come loose should be allan key screw/nut to tighten up again. Hopefully that is the end of your worries. Mick
