You may have a bad capacitoron the outside unit. If you have test instrumants you can check this yourself. If you dont know what your doing you can cause more damage to the unit. Calla service tech.

I have a neo plasma lg 7kw will not heat LG Air conditioner

Make sure the setting on the remote is correct . Sun symbol for heating. Make sure the filters are clean. On heating, the indoor unit will 1/2 open the flap but the fan shouldn't start. The outdoor unit should start and if working properly, will be blowing cold air. The indoor unit will open the flap fully and the indoor fan will start once it gets hot then you should feel warm air. If the outdoor unit is blowing warmish air, I would say the reversing valve coil has failed or one of the indoor temp or pipe sensors are faulty. If a sensor fails, a "CH" error should appear on the display.

Suddenly showing "HI" in room temp window. Cold then warm air blows out.

"Hi" means your compressor has gone off on a high temperature limit. Basically, your outdoor coil is dirty and needs to be cleaned or your outdoor fan has stopped working. An air conditioner works off a simple principle of removing heat using a low temperature and low pressure refrigerant. Your compressor does what it is called. It changes that low temperature, low pressure refrigerant into a high temperature and high pressure refrigerant. Your outdoor fan blows over that high pressure gas and it blows out hot air. First thing to check is to turn your unit on, and go outside and feel if you have any air blowing out the back. If you don't, you have a bad fan. If you do, you need to clean your coil. Spray some simple green on your outdoor coil and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then grab a hose and under low water pressure, wash out your coil from top to bottom pointing the hose in a downward direction. You do not want to point the hose straight into the unit. Make sure you disconnect the power and allow it a couple hours to dry before you plug it back in. If it's just a dirty coil, you should be good to go after that!!

Carrier air conditioner isn't cooling the house. It is blowing air, but it doesn't seem to be cool air.

Check the outdoor unit to see if it is discharging hot air out of the top ofd the unit, check the insulated suction line to make sure it is cold or sweating. Try to listen to the outdoor fan and the compressor to make sure they are both operating

Exhaust from nanomax cfi4000e very hot.

Hi, if this is a split system with a indoor unit and outdoor unit and you are talking about the outdoor unit above the units fan blowing air, this is normal. The hotter it is outside, the hotter the air will be from this condensing unit. Please let me know if this is what you are talking about.
Sincerely,

Our air con runs, on heat, and after a time cuts out, blows cold and makes a sort of hissing noise (but not a real hiss) and then shuts down. It then restarts after a couple of minutes. Is this normal?

Yes.Think of a heat pump as a A/C in reverce in cool indoor coil is cold&outdoor coil is hot.Naw indoor coil is hot &outdoor coil is cold&fan is pulling in cold air from outside.its going to iceup& go into defrost cycle. If your unit has a timed defrost every 30,60,or90min.(witch ever yours is set for)Defrost control board checks a sensor on cond.coil,if it is frozen unit goes into defost. You will here a swishing noise, iis the reversing of refrigerant.you will also notice the outdoor fan is not operating&at termanation of defrost fan will blow out steem.the other metod is on demand defrost.when coil freezes unit defrosts.

check capicitor on motor, fan motor bearings may be locking up when they get hot then when cooled the motor comes back on. Then you must replace fan motor.

PROBLEM WITH MY AIR CONDITIONER

Is the outside unit running? if so can you feel warmer than outside air blowing from outside fan? If not your system may have a leak and pressures low. You can also check the piping to and from the unit larger one should be cold small one should be warm

Air con blowing hot air

More than likely you have no gas. or fan on outdoor compressor failure. Check outdoor fan and see if running else may need gas. Gas can only be bought by refrigeration mechanics with gas license, so need a professinal. If you have lost gas, leak must be fixed first. If in Melbourne, I can help with this service at good prices. 0417 209 552. I'm in Preston and will travel.
