Motorola mr350 I have several MR350r, after changing batteries to one, in a trip, it stop comunicating with the rest... Everything set identical... Code, QT, chanel, everything. I did a Monitor check, to see if the one that stop working find the rest, and it did find them, but on a differnt chanel... always one less channel. I mean... if I have the other 4 radios set to CH 3 Code 4, this one should be set in CH 2 Code 4, and works perfectly well. This happen with every channel, I mean, when the rest is CH X this one works perfectly well if set in CH X-1. Something happen with this one that has the chanel shifted one down... is there any way to reset the Radio? Obviously I already took out the batteries, I replace them, etc. but it is the same. It seems that the radio has something else, because it remember the ch and the code it was set, before I took out the batteries, so ... a hard reset is not done by taking the batteries out. Any advice?. thank you!

I started in electronics 33 years ago and my first job was in LMR;s (land mobile radios). I know they have changed a lot since then but the basic transmitting structure will always be the same. It sounds like something that I have never seen but one or two go bad but on these occasions the Crystal has changed frequency. This is your Local Oscillator and will cause your superheterodyne to run at a different frequency. It would be a constant frequency and explain the one channel. I know if the wrong crystal is put in one and is close enough to even run it can be several channels off. Check this out it is a little far fetched because as I said earlier these things seldom go bad but you never know. If it is a crystal then when you reset it it would reset to the same frequency that it has changed to. It is still working but just off frequency. Let me know how it turns out.

SOURCE: AXU4100 Manual or help

Hi,

On a Motorola AXU Series (including the 4100):
1. To unlock, press the “D” button for about a second or until the circle is gone. The circle with the line thru is the keyboard lock indicator;
2. To change channel, you need to press either the arrow left or right in Normal Mode;
3. To change PL (assigned to a channel), don’t think this can be done by the user
4. To change Ch. 1 from 464.500 MHz (PL-67.0) to 463.525 (PL-136.5), don’t think this can also be done by the user.

Even the built-in Programming Mode Parameters do not have this option to change assigned frequencies and PLs. An external programming software using a PC may or may not allow this.

These radios came pre-loaded with its channels assigned with specific frequencies/PLs. As used in a Motorola AXU411, they are:

Channel Frequency PL
1 464.500 67.0
2 464.500 77.0
3 464.500 88.5
4 464.500 179.9
5 464.500 None
6 464.550 67.0
7 464.550 82.5
8 464.550 94.8
9 464.550 179.9
10 464.550 None

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: CLS 1110 Programming

Not certain what order you are doing it, so I will type a brief explanation:

With the radio turned OFF, hold in the PTT and the MON, while turning the radio on. Continue to hold the PTT and MON until the radio stops making noise. You are then in programming mode and can use the menu button to walk through the stages of programming.

SOURCE: Can't change channel of a Motorola Visar

The Visar has a channel lock feature. If you hold down the two channel buttons at the same time, it will do one of two things depending on the settings. Either the channel will lock, or the channel numbers in the LCD will flip.
If you press the channel button and the "popples" "pop" (for lack of a better word) then the channel selection buttons re most likely OK. To fix it you just press both channel buttons at the same time for about 5 seconds. It will beep and you should be able to change the channels. If not, then it needs to be repaired.

Problems setting the Interference eliminator code for a Motorola MR350 Talkabout

Holding in the MENU a long press will turn the LOCK on or off. You will need the menu unlocked for the following...

However, if you press the MENU button repeatedly, not holding it in a long press, you will walk through all the menu items, and there you will see when the CODE number begin to flash. You will also see setting for other features as you walk though the menu. Refer to your manual for these settings.

Good evening: We purchased Morotorola MR350R radios a few months ago. Just now getting around to using them. We took the User Manual and set both radios the same. You can push to talk on either radio...

Try going back to a basic operation, shutting off any special features. Unlock your front buttons, if locked, and proceed with setting your frequency to 1, your code to zero (off), call tones to zero (off), etc. Then see if the two radios communicate. If not, you may have one bad radio, or a battery issue.

Will the motorola mr350r work with the motorola cs1110

  • The mr350 is a standard GMRS/FRS talk around radio and the cls1110 is a business band radio but bot operate in UHF. So if the cls1110 is programed to one of the frequencies I will list then the two will communicate. Otherwise they will not.
Here are the frequencies listed in order of channels on your radio. 1-22.

It doesn't receive any message but it does play the call alarm and sends the speaker's voice.

Check your programming. All the radios must match on Frequency, Code and Qt filter if any. Here is a link to the user guide: http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/MR350-351%20User%20Guide%2012-16-08%20KEM-PK14190-90.pdf

For simple operation, turn off all the special features. Start by turning off the Code (set to zero for off), Qt filter, and call tones. You can add them back in once you establish communications.

Best regards.

My radios are only a couple of days old and in the middle of using them they both stopped transmitting or receiving they both come have the transmit tone but no thing is heard in the other they are MR350R

Check the settings of your frequency, interference eliminator code and Qt filter. These three must match identically on all your radios. For basic operation set the code and Qt filter to zero (off).
