On the front panal you should have some config buttons for the monitor setup. One of the buttons also switches video input mode but you have to hold it for a couple of seconds and it switches from dvi mode to analog. That may fix it.

My acer aspire one netbook when i press power on nothing happens, only power green lite is on no display no sound,i connected external monitor still same no display.

The power green light is the power to the unit. I believe that you have a motherboard issue, sorry to say.

Monitor shows picture for 1/2 second then goes black, 22" display. also will not show display menus. have hooked another monitor up and works fine. also have hooked up to another computor and problem...

When you switch the monitors, do you still use the very same vga cable? If you don't, then it's time to change the monitor. When it turns on and off inmediately it means that it's receiving the signal, but that's it. If it's brand new, exchange it.

Nintendo DS Lite will not power up

This can sometimes be caused by the single smt capacitor on the board in the top half that the screen cables plug in to. Try replacing the cap or the entire board.
