Question about Xterasys Wireless PCI Card Ethernet CWX11GP Network Adapter
I got this a long long time ago and i want to hook it up w/ another computer. When i found out you need an installation cd i found mine missing. Is their any other way to install it w/o the cd or how i can find another copy of it w/o buying the whole thing again?
thx 4 taking ur time to read this whole thing :x
You need to connect to the manufacturer's web site and find the exact pci card model and download the software. You can download to a flash drive or CD and then run the program on the other computer BEFORE you plug in the hardware. Then install the pci card and follow the setup instructions.

Bluetooth is not WiFi, they are two seperate technologies.
you need a Wireless adapter 802.11b/g for your laptop,
you would connect the two to each other using an adhoc connection,
If you had a wireless router for your internet you could connect directly to the router, (and then you would not have to have your main computer on for you to access the internet.
BTW if your Main machine is near your phone point (for internet connection) you would not need a wireless card for your pc, as you could connect via LAN cable to the wireless router (make sure you get one with lan ports)
