Go to a hardware store and ask for a dryer hook-up kit. You can run the vent to an outside source through a wall or if needed you can exit the exhaust through a roof although I would not do this unless it was the last resort. Instructions for the dryer hook-up are included with the materials.
It consist of connecting a vent hose usually 4 inches to the dryer outlet and running the hose usually a flex hose to another outlet that vents the dryer air outside. The outside connection should have a door that closes when the dryer is not in use to keep rodents and pest out.

Kenmore #11066742500 dryer

Could be several things. If it is a new hookup the neutral and one of the hot wires has been reversed. If it just started doing this the most probable is a shorted heating element. It will still test good on continuity test but part of it is touching the frame. The third thing is a bad thermostat, it would be cycling at too low a temperature. The temperature coming out of the exhaust should be between 150 and 175 at high heat.

I have a kenmore dryer 80 series. it takes two cyclyes to dry clothes and they come out smelling musty

Check the vent hose! Have you ever cleaned out the hoses? This can reduce your drying capabilities drastically! Not to mention create a FIRE HAZARD. If you haven't done this since having the dryer installed, you should do it asap. Also check the hookup for the hose & make sure it's not blocked & is the proper material (e.g. not vinyl or plastic)The most common reason is that the exhaust vent is clogged. Longer vent ducts to the outside are more prone to this problem, so if your duct is only 3 feet long, that probably isn't it unless it is completely blocked. If the duct is 6 feet long, or longer, clean it first to see if that will help. A cleaning kit is easy to find and not expensive.

How do i change the high limit thermostat on a kenmore dryer # 72822

Unplug the dryer from the electrical outlet. Slide the dryer out from the wall and disconnect the dryer vent from the back of the dryer. Loosen the retaining screw on the clamp connecting the vent to the dryer's exhaust port and slide the vent off of the port.
Remove the hex nuts holding the dryer's rear panel in place and slide the rear panel off to the side of the dryer. Locate the high-limit thermostat on the heating element housing on the right side of the dryer. The oval-shaped thermostat can be found a few inches from the bottom of the heating element housing.
Unplug the two thermostat wires by sliding them off of the thermostat's contact posts. Slide the old thermostat out of the socket on the heating element housing.

I have a kenmore HE2 dryer and matching washer. It is 3 years old. It works and eventually clothes do dry. It does heat up. But it doesn't heat up as hot as it used to and it takes twice as long to dry...

Make sure you check your exhaust line and where the air blows to the outside. If your exhaust vent or hose is bent or restricted it will take a very long time to dry the clothes. Sometimes the vent flap on the outside exhaust is stuck shut. Clear dryer exhaust venting is critical for proper operation. Several companies offer a vent cleaning service where they completely clean out the exhaust lines.

I have a kenmore electric dryer. When I push to start ,the timer ticks but do not start. The door switch is working. When I open the door the ticking stop. What can this be?

Replace the thermal fuse located on the rear of the dryer.
Remove the rear panel the thermal fuse is white about 1 and 1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide.It is on the exhaust vent on the left side near were your connecting vent attaches.
