I got a Emerson 50" on Black Friday! Wii on component input has no red in the picture.

Try another component video cable. It sounds like the red signal isn't getting to the TV.

I hooked the Wii up to a different tv than I had it on before. Now, it is in black and white and there is no sound. I am able to go into a game. What can be wrong?

I am guessing that you mistakenly plugged your Wii console cables into a component input section, rather than the normal AV or AV2 input. You can easily tell this by finding out which input station you have to select with your TV remote. If it is component 1 or 2 then your problem you plugged the cords into the wrong section. If you notice in the picture that the component are red, green, and blue, and the AV are red, white, and yellow. The Wii hook up cable is made for the Red, White, and Yellow. Just use a flash light and make sure you are plugging them into the right spot.bagdad319.jpg

The picture does not show up when we turn on the wii. You can hear the sound. The cd is in the right way as well. Nothing is wrong with the input button on the remote. I have checked all the connections...

Try a different input on your TV. If it is input1 - use 2.
If still no joy - the Wii needs repair/replacement. There is no fix you can do.

Wii console connected but the picture is in black and white and has snow??? What can I do

Your TV, depending on how old it is, is either on the wrong channel or on the wrong input. It should be as simple as that. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Have good picture, but no sound from Wii

Make sure no other game console is hooked up to the spliter then turn everything off... turn the TV on first, then the game system, if the system still doesn't produce sound then get a NEW dedicated cable Hope that helps

I cannot have the Wii plugged in and the DVD player at the same time

S-video only sends video, not audio. You need 2 input channels on the TV in order to have them both work without switching them. Otherwise you will have to switch them over each time.
