Copy and paste this link into your browser address box

If you do that does it get there now? If so you most probably have some form of malware installed which is trying to redirect your search engine link away from Google to the hackers own search engine.

You could try to reset the settings in internet explorer.

... or it happened recently you could try to use system restore repair the issue.

Google won't load; all other pages will load

It may be that google is blocked on your DNS server, though highly unlikely, however you should try to see if you can access google through a proxy, and see if google loads then.

Install my yahoo task bar

All you have to do is go here: http://us.toolbar.yahoo.com/ It depends on what Internet Browser you're using. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc. It won't work on certain browsers like Google Chrome, but it should for IE and Firefox for sure.
