You need to adjust the legs on the bottom to get it balanced so it does not spin and cause it to bounce. fill a clear glass of water up to 1/8 inch of top place on machine on the side and then the front observe if unit is level if not adjust till level from right to left and front to back. spin outthe adusting feet on the bottom of the washer.

I have a Maytag Model # LA806-02, which dances across the flor when in the spin mode. Tighting the three centering spring has helped very little.

If your Maytag is dancing across the floor the most common problem is the leveling. If one or more of the feet are not level it ill wobble and walk around the floor. When you level the machine on the top both directions make sure the set nut is tightened so you will not have to retighten it again later.

We recently bought a new washing machine, front loading, and it seems to enjoy dancing across the floor when it spins, any ideas what we can do to prevent this, the floor has a laminate finish.

The adjustable feet under the machine are supposed to be fitted with rubber cups. Make sure the machine doesn't rock around when pushed and pulled in several directions--you may need to adjust the feet so that the machine sits level and firmly. If it really gets to hopping after you have checked the previous items, then the tub suspension system inside the case may hung-up in some way. That would appear to be a warranty item. Hope this helps!

When on spin cycle, the washing machine dances across the floor.

Try to level machine. Whe empty try to reset back legs pulling machine from rear up front leaning on front legs. Try to balance your load too.

My washer is not quite 3 years old and has started a loud banging sound especially when it spins, it sounds like an MRI machine

One of the dampers has gone so the drum is allowed to move too far from its centre when it is spinning and is hitting the outer shell

Once it gets out of whack the machine will dance across the floor if it is allowed to.

You need a man that can

E59 Error on Frigidaire front loader - won't spin

I finally solved this same problem on mine error code E59 and the main symptom of the drum never spinning even right at the beginning of the load cycle. I did Test 12 based on the following link: (MAKE SURE THE POWER CORD IS UNPLUGGED TO THE MACHINE) I found that the motor was fine which meant the problem was with the speed control board. On my speed control board there are 3 locations that connectors plug into it. Make sure these are all firmly connected. One of the three is a very weak press fit connection clamping over the edge of the circuit board. This had wiggled loose on my machine from all the dancing across the concrete floor in the basement this machine does. I pressed this connection in firmly, put everything back together and it started working like new!

Good luck.

During the spin cycle, the machine shakes violently and dances across the floor. It has a loud squealing noise during this. My Performa is only about 14 months old. This is very disappointing for a Maytag.

Look in owners manual. I think these washers have a 1/2 hp. variable speed motor. make sure the washer is level from front to back and side to side, if its not that could be the problem. The motor has a lot of force, the squealing could be a bad bearing not sure.

Maytag LAT2500AAE- unbalanced

see if it has 4 adjustable feet on each corner on the bottom
get a bubble level from a hardware store and turn the feet to raise or lower OR you could use something else to raise the sides until it is leveled by looking at the bubble level.

hope this helps

Washing Machine Dance

Cars, does the basket lean to one side? There might be a couple of issues. The coupler that seats between the motor and trans could be wollowed out causing vibration. Another is that one of the balance springs came off or broke. I'm going to attach a photo of the springs so you can see what this looks like. You can remove the whole cabinet to check things out or tip the washer back and take a look.
