This is safe but you should be able to run it from your battery then under your firewall completely free from moving parts and tight to the body and frame then there should be a drain plug in your passenger floorboard close to the seat. I don't suggest running it from the engine compartment under the car all the way back because these wires are not meant to be completely exposed to the elements.

Uel gauge constantly reads full

Hi Anonymous, you either have a bad fuel gauge or a faulty sending unit, for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix/test or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. run a constant hot (from a fused BATTERY lead) most folks will usually use a 0 or 2 gauge wire for "main" power and ground keep the ground as short as possible (it will hit much harder) and a normal I think 16 or 18 gauge for the "trigger" wire from the head (radio) hope this helps :)

HAVE A 2003 LANCER ES . IM GETTING READY TO RUN A 2 GAUGE POWER WIRE AND IM HAVING TROUBLE FIGURING OUT WHERE TO RUN THE POWER WIRE I CANT FIND any GROMMETS to run the wire through. a friend suggested...

If there is no grommet to run thru that doesn't already have multiple wires thru it. You will need to drill your own hole, grommet it, then silicone it so it doesn't leakk into the vehicle. Drill from the inside out with a pilot hole under the dash on the passenger side away from any A/C components. Just use common sense, your smart enough to know not to run an exposed wire under a vehicle! That's a bomb waiting to explode!. Logically look behind the floorboard at the metal and determine where you will end up on the other side. Make sure you use a 100-150 amp blade fuse at the battery, and a 40-60 amp at the amp. Be safe! Hope this helps.

My 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Jerks and sometimes loses power. What can it be?

This could be just a problem with the ignition. Check if all the plugs are getting sparks by pulling one at a time the hi tension wire that covers the spark plugs while the engine is running. Check also the rubber plug, the hi tension wire itself. If all checks out you may want to inspect the ignition coil and the fuel filter if it needs replacing.

Amp. and Sub install on a 2006 Jeep Gand Cherokee

Your best bet is to actually drill a hole through the firewall and istall a rubber grommet to protect the wire. If this isn't really an option, you might try locating the places the wiring harness and spedometer cable go through the firewall, or where the shifter goes through the transmission tunnel. The main thing is to protect the wire from heat and rubbing against metal. Hope this helps :)

KAC-9152D AMP TURNS OFF AFTER 2-3 MINS.

when your amp cuts out,is it when your stereo is produceing a long low note.if it is then the problem lies within the power distribution from the battery.as your sub pulles a long low note it draws a lot of power and sometimes the battery cant supply the power fast enough and the amp cuts out. useing a power cap is one way to solve the problem, but the best option for you to use becouse your running high powered amps is to have a sepparate battery for your audio using a split charging system.when your car battery is fully charged a relay swiches the power so that it charges the audio battery,so your auio system will have constant power without putting stress on your car battery. you can get thes from all good audio shops. hope this helps you.
