Question about Fisher and Paykel IWL12 Top Load Washer

1 Answer

At the spin cycle the pump is coming on and off then stops and we get the 1 second continuous beep. We have five lights on. I was told by the operator that it meant the balance switch is not working or is on so it doesn't work. There was a blanket in the washer when it happened. I have replaced the main board and the temp sensor in the past. Is the balance switch the one with the long white rod sticking down? This was the only thing not replaced when the temp sensor leaked and damaged the board. Can this be by-passed to check if this is the problem?

I've got a F + P washer and had the same problem. It usually occurs when there's very little in the tub, like you described, just a blanket. The balance on the machine is very fussy and will trip at the slightest sense of an overload on one side or another. With the lid open, grasp the tub on either side and move it side to side while lifting ( don't be afraid to use a little bit of force). This will rebalance the tub and it should advance to the spin cycle. If it doesn't work the first time, it make take a few attempts. Best of luck and please post back with any other questions.

Simpson ezi 950 9.5 will not empty, rinse, spin dry.

That sounds like the pump is jammed. Have you checked for hair slides or similar? Once the pump is free to operate, your Simpson should resume normal service.

Hello,

Sounds like you have a bad door switch. Depending on the age of the fridge, it might still be under warranty. If it's not, then you might be able to access the door switch yourself and pull it out & replace it.

Good luck......

1 beep per second and odd light sequence

there some simple solutions but may not always work but everyone should try. underneath when the water pump engage with the tub. there;s a white plastic clip press it out and turn the water pump. it will come off the tub. before doing this you should have the washer disconnected. have someone or put something under so the washer won;t fell on you while reaching down. sometimes debris gets stucks on the way from the tub to the pump. it insert your fingers inside once the pump is taken out and if you find debris take it out. put back the pump and connect the washer again. this can be a very simple solution it won;t work all the times. but what if it does. :)
