White speedylock 1600 thread keeps breaking

rethread the machine to make sure it's threaded correctly & that the thread is not caught anywhere

put new needles

check the thread tension, it sounds like it's to tight

use a can of computer air & clean out around the loopers area for lint or loose threads

if none of these suggestions work, then having it serviced would be the next suggestion

I am in need for needles for my Speedylock 1600 What kind of needles do I use......the manual says household type.....does that mean a regular sewing Is machine needle? Is there a size or number?

The plain ol' Singer-type needles are what you need, they're pretty much the standard through the household sewing machine/serger industry.

Match your needles to the material you're using (thickness of the needle) and the thread you're using (eye size). There's generally a chart on the needle package to clue you in there.

That's a nice machine, good luck with it!

My serger machine does not do the stiches and I replaced the needles already and I know that I thread the machine correctly, please help me! thanks

Sometimes we think we have the machine threaded correctly, but the stitches just won't knit - I threatened my old serger many times only to find the lower looper thread had popped out.

Open the doors and watch what is happening when you turn the hand wheel.

Make sure the thread antenna is fully extended and thead the machine with the tension open (zero) and in the order shown in the manual.

Once you get this great, but sometimes naughty little machine stitching as it should, do not let it run out of thread.

Cut the thread near the cones and tie off to the new thread.

Open the tensions and slowly run the machine until the new thread appears - you will have to stop as the knot gets to the needles and thread manually.

Hi, you have to set the timing for your top looper. Mechanical aptitude is required to set the timing since its a very sensitive and critical. I can probably help you look for me at www.sewingmachineryrepair.com
