Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

Getting F02 error, machine stops part way in & beeps.

It's barely been a year, of course when warranty just runs out. We get a variance of codes but the main one we get constantly now is F02.  Machine stops, beeps & flashes this error.  Before this our clothes stunk badly. I got rid of a 15 yr old top loading machine still working great for this front loading mess. They were a gift from my husband. We thought we were upgrading. We can't afford the cost of repairman. Please help. Thanks.
PS..my husband did all manual said, checked drain hose, etc. any suggestions? Maybe he missed something.

After doing what manual says & checking drain hose for blockage we still had the problem but after checking a few websites I saw there is a place to check that they do not tell us about in their manual. The Filter.
The filter is under the washer door. You take off the front bottom panel under the door and you will see this white knob that screws off. Just make sure the washer has drained or you will have a flood. Unbelievably I found socks & money there & we couldn't see how in the world these huge socks got there but they did. Remove any items you find in there, clean out really good & also check the repeller fan for any damage. If it's ok, try washer & see how it goes. If damage to repeller fan you will have to replace, which I read is easy to do if you order part yourself. They should put this very inportant fact in the manual, it almost cost us $$ for a repairman, until I saw a blog on applianceblog.com Good luck!

Thank you so much for posting your solution of the F02 error code. I was having the same problem and noticed that my clothes smelled like mold and I didn't understand why. Anyway, my husband "cleaned the filter". He found four socks.
Awhile back, I noticed that I was missing a lot of socks. One day I pulled the gray flap in the washer and found around 15 socks! I now check that flap after every wash.

Again, thanks for posting your solution. It was an easy fix and it saved us $$.

We just had repair service out to look at our Whirlpool Duet Front Loading Washer.  They were dispatched by the Whirlpool's 800# after I called for assistance with trouble shooting.  No mention of cost was made.  $72 later we were told it would cost $600 to replace our computer!!!  Our machine is just 3 years old , and the repairman told us it is about the longest he has seen one last!  Our code is dlF which I assume means, door lock failed.  They did replace the locking mechanism, but it did not help.  They also told my husband the water hose was pushed down too far, and readjusted it.  Good luck.

Why does my whirlpool frontloader stop in the middle of a cycle and read f 02

Repairing the F02 error code can usually be done without ordering parts. Tools needed to repair your whirlpool Duet F02 error code are towels and a quarter inch socket.
Tip the washer back at a 45 degree angle. On the bottom panel there are three or four screws, with the screws removed the panel will slide down and off. With the lower access panel now removed you will have access to the washers drain pump clean out.
With the water already bailed from the washer you can twist the filter head counter-clockwise to remove. Twisting the filter head counter-clockwise will loosen filter so it can be pulled out.
With the filter out clean and install it back into washer.
Run a quick cycle to ensure the washer is back up and running and the F02 error has disappeared. If the error comes back, it may require you to clean the drain pump filter again.
If you require a new drain pump motor, you can purchase the part from the link below.

Kenmore elite he3 washer F02 error during wash cycle

You need to check for a blockage, F02 code indicates -- Drain blocked, kinked, drain filter plugged, or drain pipe exits too far above the washer.

Display flashes F 2 at the 1:00 minute to finish time and stops and beeps.

F02 error means if the drain time has exceeded more than 8 minutes. After four minutes suds will be displayed on the screen and again after 4 minutes the F02 error code appears.

Check the drain line for any clogs or blocks which hinder the draining procedure..Use of more detergent can even cause this condition..Be sure you are using only 2 tablespoons of HE soap and not more than that.

Check your drain filter also and replace them if needed. Remove the 3 Torx head screws (located left, center, and right) from the front bottom kick panel of the washer. The drain/filter/pump is right in front.

F02 with good pump and clear filter... now what?

"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

F2 error code

you are absolutely right.many users are facing the same problems like yours:-- The F02 error code indicates keypad/user interface failure. Most of the time, this is caused by a problem in the keypad/user interface. It can sometimes be caused by a failed control board.
You could have an intermittent problem such as a stuck key or contact. As long as the F02 is not displayed, the washer should work normally. You can continue to use it when the F02 is not displayed. It is still safe to use the washer.
Sometimes this problem is caused by a loose wiring harness connection between the keypad/user interface control board and the machine control board.
The F2 error code on this washer indicates a stuck button on the user interface control board. The procedure for accessing the control boards on this washer is shown in the image below. I recommend unplugging the washerand checking the wire harness connection from the user interface control board to the machine control board. Try unplugging the connections and then plugging them back in a few times. Make sure that they are plugged in correctly and then reassemble and test the washer. If the F2 is still displayed, then the user interface control board will need to be replaced.
