Question about PC Desktops

Usb i think??

I have had this product for several years now and until recently have not had the slightest problem. But now there is. What intially happened was that I had unplugged my printer to use the USB port for an MP3 player. When I plugged it back in it would not work. I went through the troubleshoot guide, doing all the suggested answers which did not work. Then the motherboard died (so to speak). I have had that replaced but the printer still won't work. I thren tried another printer which also did not work and then I tried an portable external memory drive which also has not worked. It's like the computer hasn't even registered that there is something there.
At first i thought it was a problem with my printer but since having tried other devices on the usb port i am no longer sure.
Any ideas????

Re: usb i think??

Did you check your MP3 player? It may have caused the damage to the USB port... If so, then you need to buy a USB card to have a another USB port.

Hp dx5150 mt shut itself down won't start

most likely power supply, those power supplies are horrible and the slightest power surge cooks them. a majority of them I get in for repair are p/s issues, a few for mobo issues.

Dell Vostro 320 network dead and now wireless network dead

I personally think all AIO PC's like the Vostro 320 are lemons because they have heat issues due to poor ventilation. The internals aren't easily accessible to the average user. And when one thing breaks inside the customer almost always has to send the whole unit back to the company to get fixed.

That being said, wireless adapters do frequently die due to overheating.

Luckily wireless adapters are very inexpensive. has several decent usb adapters for less than $10 and with FREE shipping.

If I were you I'd give this model a try:

I've personally purchased this exact model several times and never had a problem with it. It's super small and plugs into an open USB slot. Most times your operating system will even auto install the drivers for you too so it really doesn't get any easier than that.

Good Luck!

When I operate my PC and a USB port is occupied, at the slightest vibration, the signal from an external device to the PC becomes severed.

Take apart the PC and check the connector from USB bort to motherboard.
If the connector is ok then there is a bad contact either on the prot or on the motherboard.

E home wireless g usb adapter Driver

Nope...sorry..USB drivers from Mac side are few and far between. Only on some of the more recent IMacs and MacWin products does that happen. Odd, isn't it?
