My bioster mother board -USB port and PS2 port not working

USB 2.0 ports 1, and 2. These two 4-pin Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports are available for connecting USB 2.0 devices.

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems to a computer and its parts

is the mouse a usb or ps2 mouse
if its a usb mouse and not working you might have to use a ps2 mouse
or try it in safe mode
restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse
allowing you to attempt to repair your computer

You can try tighten up the cable behind the monitor or disconnect the cables and reconnect. You can try another monitor to see whether the mother board and the cable works. Some settings in BIOS may be changed to use on-board video card (the one embeded on the mother board, which is connected on the ports out of the card slots) on your computer so make sure it is using the graphic card that is connected to the monitor. For keyboard, if may be mechanic issue on port or keys or cables if you will not see anything wrong about the keyboard. You can try to use another USB port if it is an USB keyboard or use a USB/PS2 converter if the PS2 keyboard port is not working. If it is a PS2 keyboard, you can check whether the pins are bent and reconnect it. Sometimes that helps. If it is a wireless keyboard, then you will need to fix the monitor and then maybe fix the driver and stuff. You can remove all objects beneath the keys by putting it upside down and shake it or use a blower.

Try another keyboard if at all possible. Port sill not working?
You can bypass the PS2 port for your key board. You'll need to buy a PS2 to USB Y cable. Places like Best Buy have them. Here is a picture of the cable;

First look usb or pst driver is stall or not. if install your port may be damage or shourt. then check usinge y- cable. where one side usb port and another side we get ps2and usb. then we use mouse and key board once atime.. . ithink u solvev your problem. if not .there is another way . you can add usb card in *********** bord . Which help you to operate usb key board and mouse once time. thanks

buy a new mother board or use recovery media after saving files and clean out usb ports

it may be the circuit problem,inside the mother board.send it to service center

do not connect power led r remove if connected i had the same problem and this was the solution

What is the model number of your motherboard? VIA does not make Processor's/CPU's.
VIA makes chipset's for motherboards.

99.0% of motherboards still use PS2 ports. One colored purple for the PS2 keyboard female port, back side of the MB & the other colored light green, female port, back side of the MB PS2 mouse port. By default, most motherboards have the jumper for PS2 keyboard enabled. Location for this two-pin jumper varies from board to board.

The PS2 port's are found in the upper left hand corner of this same picture. This next link will show how to connect USB motherboard jumpers including their wire locations. (Standard for most motherboard USB connections).

did u install mother board drivers /not ? install M.bord drivers.
chk all usb ports are connected to mother board.
if problem persists go to decice manager expand USB then right click on usb driver select uninstall.
right click on usb select scan for hard ware changes .system will install that drivers automatically.
