Memory card when inserting memery card in caramea it says can't format it

The first thing I would try is ejecting the memery card and reinserting it hoping he will prompt for a reformat
If your computer has a slot to accommodate the memery card you can also use your computer to reformat
Memory card readers are quite cheap and plugged directly into your computer

you should format your memory card on computer and if you not able you should format using DOS..

Try this...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory of the camera. Then, insert your card and see if it works.

The Reinsert Memory Stick error message appears when the inserted Memory Stick is corrupted or not in a correct Format. This issue can be resolved by trying the steps mentioned below:

• Remove and re-insert the Memory Stick in the Camera.
• Check if the inserted Memory Stick is compatible with the Camera.
• Format the Memory Stick in the Camera. Do not Format the Memory Stick in the Computer, as this will damage the Memory Stick being used in the Camera. The Camera will not detect the Memory Stick again, if it is formatted in the Camera.
• Clean the terminals of the Memory Stick by using a soft dry cloth.
• Remove the Memory Stick from the Camera and check if the Internal Memory is working fine.

You may also try power resetting the Camera. Power resetting can be done by removing the batteries from the Camera and then press and hold the POWER BUTTON of the Camera for 15 seconds and then reinsert the batteries after 1 minute.

If the issue persists, service may be required.

format the memory card

maybe the card is to large for the phone you may need to install a 2gb memory card.

it will need to be smaller then 8gb...... also micro SD......... NOT micro SDHD .....you also need to format it using the phone (check user guide for info on how to do this)

IF U HAVE THE CELLPHONE DRIVERS OF YOUR PHONE AND U GOT A COMPUTER AND THE CABLES FOR THE PHONE PLUG IT INTO YOUR COMPUTER IT WILL TELL U IT HAS DETECTED YOUR PHONE OPEN IT AND RIGHT CLICK ON THE DRIVE OF THE PHONE CARD MEMORY AND PRESS FORMAT YOUR CARD THAN SHOULD BE FINE AND ABLE TO WORK ON YOUR PHONE

first is try checking its memory terminals maybe their something blocking it or you inserted it in a wrong position.

or try restoring your phone to its factory settings...

 if still nothing happens maybe you have a defective memory card. or to be sure try using other memory card, if still cannot read it theirs a prob in your memory slot internally....
