Need new coolant hoses from water heater to firewall

I have a '96 RS Camaro. It is leaking coolant like mad, and i believe the leak is coming from the hoses connecting the water heater to the firewall. I need to know what they are called and/or where i can find them. Please help.

Should bet 5/8 inch heater hoses just get it from any auto parts store with new clamps and replace
if it has custom you can remve the broken hose and slip new hose onto the old steel line

2000 Impala leaks coolant out hose in firewall

It sounds like you're looking at the heater core water lines. These connect to the heater core supply and return inlet and outlet pipes to bring hot coolant into the cabin for heat and windshield deicing.

The heater core is a mini radiator and operates on the exact same principles as the radiator does. The heater core is located behind the dash board on the passenger side. Look for a wet spot of antifreeze on the passenger side floor area - close to the firewall for an indication of a leaky heater core. If it is leaking, it will likely need to be replaced. This can be a pricey repair.

Good luck!

I changed my water pump on my 97 camaro RS after i discovered a bad leak while flushing my radiator. i changed the thermostat as well. the leak is not coming from the pump. It seems to beabove the water...

May be coming from the intake gaskets. Coolant does pass through the heads into the intake manifold.
There should also be coolant passages in the bottom of the Throttle Body. You would see a couple of 3/4 and/or 5/8 hoses and maybe a tube goiung into the Throttle Body. This is so warm water passes through the TB so it does not freeze up.

My camaro is over heating and the coolant is leaking onto pasanger floor inside car, i need to bypass the heater core but i dont know what two hoes to connect or what the heater core looks like or where it...

Two hoses will run into your passenger side firewall area under the hood. Probably within inches of eachother. They will have hose clamps or clips of some sort. They will be about an inch and a half in diameter. Pull them off and prestone or water should come out of both. Hook them together.
Heater core looks like a very small radiator. With an inlet and outlet. Made of brass or something similar. Sits in your heater duct after the blower moter.

Water leaking onto passenger side floorboard, soaking the carpet

Your heater core has developed a leak - the wetness on the passenger side carpet is engine coolant
from a heater core leak, or a leak in one of the two hoses connected to the back of the heater core.
Your strategy: disassemble dash down to heater core, determine whether you'll need a new heater
core or new hose (or new hose clamp), then replace the offending part.

I am having trouble finding a coolant leak, on the firewall side of a3.8 liter chevy engine, Impala. hoses look good, new water pump. what is there up behind there to leak?

the heater hoses pass through the firewall into the heater core, which resides inside the dashboard. either one of the hoses themselves is leaking, or the heater core.

Leaking alot of water /coolant

You have answered your own question almost. You will need to jack the car up and inspect everything being that its 91 camara, there is defintely enough room to inspect everything. You either have a hose leak, a radiator or water pump leak. Only inspection will find that out. Thank you,

Bad leak from little 2 inch L shaped hose next to lower firewall

its either the hose,or the heater core.
the core can crack where the pipes meet the core and
if you can smell antifreeze in the car and the windshield fogs,it is the core....the hose can also crack on the inside of the firewall and get misdiagnosed as a heater core.
big job,the dash has to come out

96 thunder bird overheating

Sounds like the heater core (a small radiator of sorts under the dash) is leaking or a hose going to it is leaking. If in a warm climate, you could bypass or block the heater hoses temporarily. Their only purpose is to make heat avail to interior of car. The 2 heater hoses either connect to feedthru's at the firewall or simply pass thru the firewall to the heater core. Every car I've seen has it on passenger side.

Peer up under the dash, it should be clear where it's coming from.
