Need to replace wiring harness on LG dryer DLE7177RM model. How can I connect the wires that extend inside behind drum?

My dryer stopped working, so I took the top off to inspect the wires and the black are where it connected to the power cord was all black, fried and needed to be replaced. I thought I could just replace the connector or a section of the wire, but you have to replace the whole wiring harness. I see how to hook everything from the front area behind the start buttons and along the side and to the back but the wires extend down the back of the machine behind the drum. Do I have to disassemble the whole unit and pull out the drum to connect the new wiring harness? How difficult is it to pull out the drum? I would appreciate any advice.

LG Ground terminal block wire exploded. Need to replace entire harness and 4-prong power cord. Do I really need to replace the entire harness or can I buy a new terminal block and cut the black grounding...

This is not a common thing to happen so, If that wire exploded the advice is to get first an electrician to check on the wiring of the house, secondly call a service technician to check on the dryer. Good luck.

My LG electric dryer is not blowing any heat

Have you checked your circuit breakers to make sure they have tripped??
Look at the junction box behind the dryer where the power cord connects to the electrical system of the dryer. Open the panel and make sure that the connection is clean and tight. If it has any burn marks, you will need to replace the whole wire harness under LG's repair policy.
If these problems are eliminated, then you may have a problem inside the heating element or it's high limit switch which is inside the dryer and require disassembly.
Hope this helps.

One of the wires from the main wiring connection is burnt. How do I get to the terminal block inside the dryer where the wire is attatched to to replace it?

LG recommends replacing the entire wire harness when this happens. The burnt wires usually happens when the connection was not properly tightened. You will require a qualified LG tech to get it repaired properly.

LG Dryer DLE7177RM The dryer just stopped working and I get shock when I open the door. I tried turning the circuit breaker on and off but it didn't help.

CALL FOR SERVICE !!! Leave breaker off. Let an appliance service person check the power supply wires and possibly internal wire harnes fault. If this is a new dryer, the power cord hook up may have been done improperly, or the household dryer recepticle may be wired improperly.

Cracked Drum on LG Dryer Model #DLE2512W

I had a 2514 with a similar problem. Cracked drum. This is what I did to fix it. With the new drum. No noise at all.

Ordered drum from Sears parts. 3045EL1002D
Cost of 85$ + 15 to ship. It came in 5 days.

Here is how to do it on a DLE2514W. Takes about an hour. I only used a phillips screw

driver. Take your time and look over the situation. I hope that I rememberd

everything. Good luck.
