Singer CE-100 Embroidery thread bunches up underneath fabric

The upper thread bunches up into a wad underneath the fabric; makes the machine unable to correctly move to the next area to stitch.  I know it's the upper thread because I use either white or black as my bobbin thread.  I have the tension set to "E" as the manual says to do.

I'm having the same problem with the thread bunching but, this is when using tear-away and water-soluble. I think it's only happened when I've tried to stitch on a sweat shirt and on a piece of fleece. For the person that posted they found the solution, what type of stabilizer did you find works the best? Thanks.

Machine won't stitch. It makes a horrible noise in bobbin case and thread is all balled up.

I had this problem and it all came down to using the wrong backing. I kep trying to use tearaway on everything but WRONG. Using the proper backing corrects most problems. Good Luck!

When I do embroidery on om singer future the top tension is to loos it make some loops please help?

Remove the upper thread. Then RAISE the presser foot and re-thread from the beginning. Verify the thread path is correct. Set the upper tension to the midway point and retest your machine. You may need to tweak the upper tension. For garment or regular sewing, the tension is correct when both threads meet in the middle of the fabric, however embroidery sometimes requires the upper thread to be a bit looser so the bobbin thread will not appear on the top of the fabric.

Singer Q7469 confidence sewing machine

Hey Shari,
When you say, "thread bunches up" does that happen under the needle plate? Or on top of the fabric at the needle? This can be several things like, installing the correct needle for that machine and proper threading.
I might be able to help more if I had more information like make and model machine you are using, and a response to the question above.

Have a Singer 11910000A and the bobber thread bunches up and makes a mess in the feet when sewing

Is it really the bobbin thread that is globbing? Check closely. Usually it is the upper thread accumulating under the fabric.

If it is in fact the bobbin thread, then the bobbin case is not threaded correctly, the bobbin case tension needs adjustment, or it is broken and needs replacement. There are web sites and YouTube videos that show how to adjust the bobbin case tension.

QUICK FIXES: Remove all the thread from the machine. Clean the area around the feed dogs and bobbin area. Oil as instructed in the owner's manual using ONLY fresh, good quality sewing machine oil (only 1-2 drops each spot). Install a brand new needle insuring it is installed correctly. Avoid using fuzzy, old, or bargain bin thread. Rethread: Be sure you raise the presser foot BEFORE threading the upper thread so it will seat properly in the tension disk--and check to make sure you are threading the machine correctly. Check that the upper tension is set properly (the factory standard is usually the halfway point between the high & low number on the selection). Test on a scrap of the fabric you wish to sew. Adjust the upper tension--either tighten to pull the upper thread toward the top of the fabric, or loosen to pull more upper thread down.

My machine will stitch for a few stitches then stop and beep at me. When press on foot control will do same thing again

The machine is telling you there is some sort of problem. You may have run out of bobbin thread, may have a birds' nest forming (a big mass of thread forming in the bobbin/underneath your fabric & presser foot) or your thread is about to break if it hasn't already. Sometimes it can be a false alarm, but if you've checked everything, started the machine again and it again beeps on you, best to pull the fabric out, cut your thread and rethread your machine and bobbin from scratch. Also make sure that your presser foot isn't loose. Finally, check your tension. If your doing embroidery work, check that it's set on "E". If not, check that it ISN'T set on "E." Also check that you have the feed dog set properly for embroidery or regular sewing (see the manual for easy help on that).

I have a ce 100 and the bobbin thread comes up and gets into my embroidery pattern. how do i loosen the top tension to stop this from happening. my purple flower has white in it from the bobbin :(

Just an FYI-the bobbin thread needs to match your top thread. The majority of the thread that appears in the top of your embroidery actually IS the bobbin thread. The machine is working correctly. Don't use a bobbin full of white thread-instead, thread a bobbin with the color your doing the embroidery work in to match and you will have a perfectly beautiful embroidery.

Bobbin thread tangling up

are you doing embroidery? if so turn off jump stitch cutting if possible. is the machine threaded correctly (pull needle thread out of machine and thread again with presser foot raised.

check for foreign matter in needle tension assembly. ensure there is sufficient needle thread tension.

the thread you see caught up underneath the fabric will be needle thread and indicates insufficient needle thread tension or something preventing the needle thread from being pulled up into the fabric (maybe a damaged bobbin case, or bobbin case position finger, or damaged needle plate hole).

Singer ce350 bobbin thread on top

Be sure when you are threading the top thread that you ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot. This releases the tension disk and allows the thread to seat properly.

Have you gone back and re-tested on your test fabric? Does it work okay on the test fabric? If so, then there's a suspicion that it has something to do with the fabric, needle & thread of your project. Is your project fabric very dense, heavy... Are you using a stabilizer? A hoop--is it taut, not stretched? Make sure the fabric is not trampolining. Could be an incompatibility. The needle & thread may be having difficulty piercing the fabric. Try a different weight needle, perhaps a microtex or embroidery needle.

Under the embroidery attachement (on the front side) is a lever to engage or disengage the "feed dog control." When embroidering, you need to move the lever to the level to disengage. The feed dog control should only be at the righe side position, or raised when you are not using the embroidery attatchment.
