changed batteries can not get it to turn on. What I'm I not doing right?

Went out of country without camera, came back and now SB600 will not power up. It is not the batteries. Tried several sets, even Camera's West store could not get it to start up with working batteries in another unit. Don't think I dropped it. Just stopped working. Tried the pencil eraser trick to clean contacts, but no difference. It is about 2 years old and fired perfectly about 2000 times I would guess.

My SB-600 wont turn on also. I've put fresh batteries several times but I still cant get it to turn it on. What could be the problem?

got exactly the same problem. just changed the batteries and nothing is happening.
