SOURCE: Jumping horizontal lines when connected to CD player

Hello, I want you to do a test first. Take you TV and connect a DVD player to it and see if this problem occurs. I bet you it wont, because the problem is not with the TV nor the CD of the karaoke machine. The problem is with the sync pulses of the signal from the karaoky, and the inability of the Tv to sync-up with those signals. What I would use is a video stabilizer between the TV and the DVD player. If the TV still has the problem with the DVD player I would then check the TV for a vertical section problem. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com

How can I stop my tv from flipping or rolling. It is caused by my ematic converter box.

It sounds like electrical interference from the converter box. Do you have the box sitting on top of or right under the TV? If so, move the box away at least several inches. You may need a longer cable to do this.

It could also be that the TV isn't syncing properly to the box. In that case the only solution is to adjust your TV's horizontal and vertical controls. If they're not on the front of the TV or the remote, look on the back.

Hooking up antena & converter box

Good: Connect the antenna to the converter box where it says antenna/in. Connect the coax cable to where it says to tv/out on the converter box. Connect this cable to the coax/rf input on the television. Plug in and turn on the converter box and the television. Make sure the television is on channel 3 and follow the setup process that pops up on the screen.

Better: Connect RCA cables to the converter box where the yellow red and white holes are. Connect them to an RCA input on your television. If you don't have a red hole on the television that's ok, just connect yellow and white and leave the red plug dangling. Connect the antenna to the converter box where it says antenna/in. Plug in everything and turn everything on. Press the video/input/source button until you have located the setup screen for the converter box and follow the directions on the screen.

Same crazy problem here! I have a converter box and can't figure out how to get the dvd to work. I managed to get a b/w picture to come barely come in (has rolling horizontal lines). What channel is it...

The converter box simply installs between your Antenna and your TV (tune to channel 3 or 4) http://digitaltips.org/docs/FlosTips.pdf

A dvd that does not Record is designed to simple install into a separate Input connection on the TV (do you have a VCR/DVD combo?)

Do you have an older TV with only one "Input" for a cable connection? (no Red/Yellow/White Inputs) if yes you may need to take a trip to Radio Shack
