either need or have a driver
either need or have a label printing program

Go to my computer, right click>properties>hardware tab>device manager, then look down the list for mice and pointing devices, click the '+' sign and right click on your touchpad and select uninstall, and then restart the pc.
Your touchpad will be reinstalled and then ready to use again as it should be back to normal
this problem should have 3 possible culprits. 1. ac adapter - it could be shorted. if you can find another working ac adapter and try it in your system the better. 2. the motherboard. 3. LCD. does this computer still has warranty? try calling their support and see what they say. if this doesnt have warranty anymore, then try to find another ac adapter to narrow down the issue.
