The person I am calling cannot hear me.

You might have using the earphone unplug the earphone nd reinsert if problem still persists then go to the settings and change earphone model like there are other earphone model standard, general switch the model one by one if problem same happened then update your software once or restore your phone...
I hope it will help you

On my new Plantronics S12 Headset System, I hear a dial-tone (through the headset) when I press the headset button, but when I remove the phone and begin dialing nothing happens. I also tried a test call...

Unfortunately, the phone does matter. The S12 is designed to work with office style phones where the handset is just the mouthpiece, all other features located on the base. My suggestion is to get a phone of that style (you can find inexpensive ones at Wally world) and connect the headset following the instructions on this link for the Plantronics S12.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

I plugged in earphones to the headphone jack, thinking that I would be able to hear the person talking to me without having to hold my phone, then they would hear me as if I was talking on the speaker...

hi aubreeloo22 and welcome to fixya,

Try to replace your earphone and then switched off and on your phone before using the new earphone, If same problem arise you should bring it to your service provider to check the phone.

My phone has a weird dial tone. it breaks up i cant hear the person on the other side.. i try putting my phone on speaker but i cant hear anything.. when i use my headphones only one works.. what can it...

had same problem.
1) connect earphones and try a test call. If it sounds ok with h/phones then
2) record yourself / some music and see if it plays back ok. If it does then it's not the speaker or microphone. I found that this test miraculously cured the prob.
If it doesn't then take it back to supplier.

I am Unable to hear the person on the other side. But, they are able to hear me. But with earphone, both routes are clear.

Hello,

its the earpiece of your phone that is faulty. You need to replace it for you to be able to hear with your phone again.

Or you might continue using the earphone.

I wish you good luck

Speaker on phone not working. I can hear the person ringing me but they can't hear me, can you please advise how i can fix this issue?

The problem is from your phone's mouthpiece, you need to replace it. Better still you could get a earphone for you phone, pending the time you fix your mouthpiece.

Take care
