The footrest is stuck in an upright position that the red buttons don't release from.
The stroller was stored and the footrest was pushed beyond the highest position and now the red buttons will not release it. Is there a way to fix it or, if not, can the footrest be removed as a baby cannot be put in the stroller with the footrest where it is.

This happens for a lot of reasons. Try using something like a small hammer to tap the release lever loose. If the bar that slides to hold the footrest is bent or badly nicked, consider replacing that part from a place like Ocelco.com.
Re: Baby Jogger Broken Footrest
I just had this problem on my Baby Jogger City Versa. I had to get creative as both buttons were missing. On each side there will be two open slots. You can use a flat screwdriver on the side without a button and insert the screwdriver into a slot and push til you feel it go in, while pushing the button on the other side. You will probably need someone to adjust the footrest while you hold both sides in. It's a pain but it will allow you to get it in the position you want. I'm looking into whether I can get replacement buttons but haven't found anything yet :( Hope this helps!
We fixed it!! Here is the problem: The stroller would not click into the
upright position because a small part in front of the foot release
would not pop up anymore. This round plunger should pop up and down,
instead it's stuck down (flat) permanently. Apparently this is a common
problem. Its seems sand and dirt get stuck in there jamming the whole
thing.Solution: We screwed a small wood screw in the centre of the
circular part. With pliers we pulled the part up. We then cleaned the
area and sprayed with WD-40. Using the pliers we plunged it up and down,
working the WD-40 into it until it moved freely by itself. We removed
the screw. Continued pressing it in and out with our finger until it
seemed to be working as it should. Problem solved!Note: We live in the
city so we only use this stroller for walking. We don't take it in the
car, so we don't need to collapse it all the time. If you are collapsing
your stroller often I'm not sure if this will be a long term solution
for you. But give it a go!
The Quinny Buzz can only be folded/unfolded with the seat in the most upright position facing forward. If this is the case and it won't unfold, remove the seat first by pushing down the two grey release buttons either side of the frame. It may be the case that the gas strut (automatic close/opening mechanism) is seized and will need replacing. This can only be done by Dorel UK 01842 763 281 as it is a pressurised unit. Hope this helps
It is important to realise that there is a swinging support underneath the footrest. To lift the footrest, push the swinging support backwards, and to lower the footrest, pull the swinging support forwards.

THe Mountain Buggy is very simple to fold. Level with the footrest, there is a black plastic button (either side), these simply push toward the back of the pram and hey presto! The pram will collapse. To make this as small as possible, keep the front two heels on swivel so that they tuck neatly underneath and the handle bar adjusted to the lowest position.
TO FOLD STROLLER • Close the canopy as described in the canopy section. Recline seat by releasing buckle as described in seatback positioning section. • The stroller is folded by simultaneously pulling each trigger fold. . When the fold latches are released, the handle will begin to fall toward the floor. Release the fold buttons and press downward on the stroller handle until the stroller is completely folded. Secure the stroller in the folded position by hooking the fold latch, located on the right side of the stroller, over the rivet that protrudes from the frame. CANOPY * The canopy features a ratchet system that allows the canopy to be moved forward to block the sun or wind. To adjust the canopy’s position, push forward or backward on the canopy until the canopy is in the desired position. See figure 23. SEATBACK POSITIONING * The seat has a multiple position recline that is controlled by a strap and buckle assembly behind the seat. . To recline the seat, loosen the strap through the buckle and adjust to the required recline position. To place the seat back in the upright position, press upward on the seat back with one hand while pulling the strap through the buckle with the other. The strap will lock automatically. http://www.babytrend.com/download/2007061021349109CT_instructions.pdf
Hi just today i tried fix that. i opened lock parts. there are parts which are broken. no chance to fix that you need to change all frame. otherwise use screw and screw thru plastic parts to be in one position for good.
