HP OfficeJet 6110 Prints very slow then aborts about 1/3rd way through print

HP OfficeJet 6110 - Prints very slow then aborts about 1/3rd way through print.

Print quality for the little bit that is printed is very poor.  Prints one line every 60 seconds.

Just replaced black cartridge with cheap knockoff cartridge.
These cartridges always worked before.

Tried all the tricks I know
Any ideas?

I identified this issue with my Officejet 6110xi All-in-One as firmware corruption. Attempting to install the supplied firmware update gave the error that "no hp device connected to the computer would benefit from it at this time." Attempted to power down the printer using #9 keystroke and got "FULL RESET" message, but problem of extremely slow printing and erratic behavior of the print heads persisted. I solved the problem by putting the printer outside in cold weather for two (2) days. This frequently resets firmwares with software corruption back to their embedded EEPROM state. Hooked the printer back up and worked fine. If cold weather is not available you could try other creative methods of cooling the device, just use a plastic bag and with ideally some drying packets thrown in to prevent excessive moisture buildup in the cold environment. The colder it is the faster the firmware resets.

HP 6110 Officejet all-in-one will not print from the glass top. It will make prints coming from the computer after I press "enter" from message "paper jam". I also can fax. Please help.

You will need to open the top and look inside where the paper travels through and attempt to free any paper pieces that have gotten stuck in the pathway. You probably have a bad board in your control panel, since you are able to print from the computer.

My hp 6110 prints slowly


Well for the said problem there are 2 possibilities

1. The setting might be for best and that is why it is printing slow.

2. If the Black cartridge is bad it also slows the printer.

First try to see the settings to make it normal. Later try to replace the cartridges and it will surely solve your problem.

Extremely slow printing

Your printer is able to print, but it prints slow ?
Run the microsoft fixit utility, by microsoft, from the foll. link :-
It is very easy to run this utility and all the instructions are mentioned on thet webpage.

You're probably using a high quality print setting. Try accessing your printer preferences and selecting "Draft" quality. See if that's any quicker.

Prints extremely slow

It seems that you are trying to Print High Resolution Pics. Thats why you are getting prints slowly.

Try reducing the Resolution of the Pic or setting the quality of print to Normal in the Print Preferences and your speed will increase for sure.

Prints part of the page and then restarts

Connect it back to the computer and verify it's still working properly that way. It does indeed sound like a compatibility issue, but it may be correctable with a quick chat with the friendly folks at NetGear.
