Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions
About a week ago the TV turned off by itself and went to a black screen with a small red/green dot in the center. When we turned it on the next day it seemed fine. Today it did the same thing. Any idea? Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. I've replaced the unit.

Best Educated guess would be your Flyback transformer is failing. Not something you can replace at home and the value of the part may exceed the replacement value of the set by the time labour and part are factored together. DO Not look to replace this part yourself as this part inside the set as it has a high voltage that can be lethal. Output voltage can be around 50,000
